Nsm

What a horrible thing to say. Actually I know all of the displaced people and ALL of them wanted to be there, they wanted to be with their teams and friends. They were professionals, friends, and colleagues that deserve some respect. What's wrong with you people?

Great question, what is wrong with people who do not have empathy for others.
Wait, this is GNE, and we are all superficial, narcissists and equally self absorbed.
If it does not impact me, who cares?
I feel for those folks, anyone who has to get a job now, is in dire straits.
Wishing them the best.

Wish the folks who were laid off the well. You may not see it now but many of you will find a better job and happier for you and the family. Just look back at your career... Take the job loss in stride and look forward.

Talk to an employment attorney before you sign anything. Think hard about any pressure, bias, high turnover rate or bad manager, etc. GNE HR wants you to sign their 1-sided agreement NOW but responding in kind requesting more $$$ or pressure you had faced can only sweeten the pot and let me tell you - GNE can afford to give you more but you've got to ask for more.

FYI - Package for the SSF RIF in Oct 2015 consisted of:

1. 6 months severance
2. 6 months COBRA paid for by GNE
3. 2 months on payroll to find alternate position within (in addition to 6 month severance)
4. If up for sabbatical then take it ASAP so those with 6 weeks sabbatical ended up still in GNE payroll for 14 more weeks - allowed to have company PC, iPhone, office, etc.

Though I never really enjoy NSMs, I am just grateful for the success I have been having in this organization. After almost 11 years, I still remind myself how lucky I am everyday. There would always be things that we don't like. We can be more thankful by thinking about those who are struggling in the society. Many of them are probably more deserving. I hope you stay positive, as we have many reasons to.

The sad thing is there was just an expansion in the Lucentis franchise. There was A SF RIF in October? What FF?

What happened to the Lucentis team?
We do not need Losercentis. Oncology is God here at Genentech. Talk of RIF is simply bogus. We pay our way working just 2 days a week. Everyone else at Genentech wishes they could produce like Oncology. I am still tired after partying my ass off last week. I will probably start doing some work about Thursday this week. Given the way Oncology produces for the whole company, we deserve all of the booze, benefits, sex and bands the company provides for us. Where else can you work, pick up pay and bonus of 200K a year and work 2 days a week. Oncology brings it home and this is the way it is. The RIF stuff is too funny. We are too valuable at 2 days a week to be RIFFED. Please.

This is true. Bionic people work, on average, 2 days a week. They can't see oncologist and all of them know it. Thats why they "develop" all of the time. Their days are numbered.

Poor Limpcentis reps suck and cant get to the major leagues of Oncology. My Oncologist look at me just like I am one of them, with a marketing degree. I am at that level working 2 days a week and I bring in major jack for the company. 202K last year, and I left the house 5 days in December. January was a little bit busier, leaving the house 8 days. We are too valued for the Jack we bring in. Our days are not numbered, they are only getting better. Too bad you can't be valued like Oncology. Oncology is safe, no worries here. Heck, we could go down to one day a week and bring more value than Limpcentis clowns.

LOL sarcasm perhaps but geesh just enjoy the limelight for another 2 yrs as what I heard is that the Basel finance guys (Swiss are well known for their fiance models AKA banking after all) are beginning to panic over the 3 Onc stallions Avastin/Herceptin/Rituxan's margin compression once biosimilars kick in by rthe likes of Amgen, Merck, Pfizer - the big pharmas - not to mention up and coming Samsung (truly LOL as GNE was their 1st customer and taught them how to make biologics like Rituxan and in the mean time guess who is working on Herceptin and Avastin?).

Uh back to Basel finance chaps - apparently they are trying to learn how Amgen did the RIF just as they were hit by biosimilars to their epo franchise and even what Biogen did in Nov - best quarter eva but announced 15% RIF. Enjoy that 2 working day pal!

Sorry Loser, Daniel O'Day said we are under no pricing pressures in Oncology. Guess what, that means working 2 days a week for 200K a year. 10 years more of this gravy train means 2 mil. Biosimilars mean nothing to us, we continue to roll. RIF scare tactics are too funny. In Oncology, we bring too much value. Remember, this is not wimpcentis. I will enjoy my 2 day work week. I like having Mondays and Fridays off, bouncing back between the three other days to get some mileage money. My Benz needs some mileage time.

Go out or read much bubble boy? It's arrogant mentality like yours that will bring down the onc franchise and it's morons like you ripe for RIF, schmuck.

Ah yes the Danny boy from Roche Diagnostic with finance background known for his shrewdness when it comes to numbers (and closing plants like Nutley, Florence SC, Toluca, Segrate, Clareastle to name a few)... Area where Pascal was not so good at.

I'm sure Danny said no pricing pressure pal and ride the gravy train till biosimilars from the big pharmas come to roost in 2018 or 2 yr reprieve or something. So enjoy your job "security" for couple of years chump.

Daniel was quoted in Fierce Pharma for no pricing pressures. Nice call douche canoe. There is a reason why that Daniel is a leader and you are a loser. Too bad the best part of you went down your moms leg. Daniel has Oncology covered. He rocks and knows how valuable we are in Oncology.

LOL douchebag, as you are just a # and far as Danny is concerned disposable sales rep when biosimilars rain on your Onc parade. Such ardent arrogance is sure sign of what a complete asshole you are. :)

Not an asshole at all, just stating reality. Daniel is working for us. Thanks to Daniel, I get to work two days a week. I love planning for my routine 4 day weekends from Thursday night until Tuesday morning. Daniel provides me a 200K plus salary, great retirement for part time work. Does it get much better? How many doctors would love to work 2 days a week for 200K? I pull this in with a 4 year marketing degree. Now excuse me,I have a 4 day weekend to plan for.
