Novartis oncology re-org

Voluntary preference initiative states last date is Jan 28 2023but doesn’t say release date (meaning you’re on payroll but not in field). Then severance comes into play. I believe the faq says that date can change. My guess is by aug/sept we will know of any changes. I love Novartis and want to stay. I also know that my teammates and I are all highly skilled and will land well elsewhere. Trusting the process and continuing the fight for patients!

I learned early in my pharma career decades ago that when senior leadership talk about fighting “for the patients” they actually mean keep fighting for the shareholders. If they want to fight for the patients they should go back in time and not make so many of the idiotic decisions at the leadership level that got us here.

Serious question - what do you love about Novartis?
How are they different from any other pharmacy company that rewards incompetence and soulless, cruel managerial tactics?
There are things you clearly don't know, as V.B. is as awful a human bring as you will find.
It is not about the patient or the customer. They are driven by a ruthless avarice, and they will roll as many heads as necessary to make their share number.
To each their own. If you really want to stay I wish you well. That said, I hope you aren't counting on it.

You will know all changes by Sept 23 at the latest, you will then either be training for 6-8 weeks depending upon how long the curriculum takes (still in process) or you will be paid not in the field until end of January at which time your severance would kick in (2 weeks for every year). Good luck

Look for one Onc line to go and sickle cell will be gone as well perhaps a hem line as well. That is not yet decided depending upon promacta extension of patent.
Can you provide details on “gone” - gone as AAA Net team, whole business unit terminated at once or will Specialists and NMs & Mgrs be assigned roles and those with out a spot given the boo bye?

Yes, the entire AAA NET team was terminated in a few words on Tuesday..."you are relieved of your duties effective immediately!". 47 in total...40 sales reps, 6 managers and 1 regional manager. Thank God it's a workers market right now. The culture here is definitely going backwards.
