Novartis oncology re-org

There is no way they will move Oncology reps over to other business units with those higher salary ranges. Much cheaper to process through the layoffs then reduce their salaries in hopes that they'll agree to stick around. Talk about a career killer.

When talking about a company that literally makes billions in profit a quarter- paying 100 or so reps 5-10k more on average is nothing. Immunology reps are basically right in line with what they are paying in oncology to begin with. Cardio is definitely the low paying group. But that said some of the reps there (institutional and SOC) make way more than any rep in oncology. Facts.

Ahhhh…. Just like they did for the 200 Aimovig reps. Not.

No offense but the reality is the Aimovig reps experience vs. someone in Oncology isn't even close. You are talking about 200 people that got let go with minimal experience selling in complex (injectable, infusion) type environment.

And those reps were given very fair packages.

Curious- what is considered a “very fair” package? How many months pay?

Last time I checked.. the IC in Neuro is more than Oncology. And get over yourself. Everyone knows that oncology has little access so don’t pretend your skillet sets are so much better than those calling on Neurologists. And novartis doesn’t care if you are coming from oncology or Eye care.. if your salary is more than the max level of the position you are interviewing for ..Novartis will make you take a pay cut. You can’t keep your oncology base salary and do a job that the max salary is less.

Actually, quite a few were placed in other divisions within NVS—especially those who were performing and had done well. The severance was more than fair (almost 4 months pay plus 2 weeks for every year employed on top of that) and better than other companies that have experienced layoffs.

Less than 10% of actual SALES reps were placed

Could oncology be on a freeze? I was at the end of an interview process and no offer has been given. It’s a week past the the the manager said an offer would be given.

Well after Friday’s Townhall Meeting I guess we have our answers. Sounds like a complete restructuring is coming. Good luck everyone, 2022 is going to be a bumpy ride.

Selling Aimovig was hardly complex. You’re an ass! Lol
