Thanks for that pen!snose....If you care to know (which I'm sure you don't because it's not about you), the suit was not only about mistreatment (which most of us got), but also about being paid significantly less than our male counterparts for doing the same work (actually, probably more than most of you slackers).

I personally was told by my boss on numerous occasions that my part of his 'discretionary bonus pool' was going to the 'men who had a family to support' and that I 'didn't need it because my husband had a good job'. Oh, ok, that's fair.....maybe I should go have dinner at their house a couple nights a week.
 






OK I called the Novartis claims administrator. The check will include everything. Back pay, compensatory damages, and medical rider claims so that is it. Sent out 23rd. Hope you are all compensated well

Sorry that you have to hear it this way, but Novartis policy clearly STATES: ONLY the hot-chicks get equal compensation as their male counterparts.
Look in the mirror and try some plastic surgery with your Novartis LEACH-MONEY.

According to wikianswers it takes 3-5 days for mail to travel from the West to East Coast. The checks are coming from Minneapolis. I hope it arrives to your home soon! I understand the anticipation. Please post when you receive your big @$$ check!
 






YES!!!! Got my check today!!!!! $9,200 (gross for both backpay and compensatory)!!!! I knew it wasn't going to be a lot because I wasn't at Novartis for too long and I didn't seek medical attention, but.... I feel so VALIDATED!!!! Since our individual letters are confidential, I sure hope that the amount of women who qualified for compensatory damages will have an impact on the leaders at Novartis.

Thank you to the women who were brave enough to stand up in the Velez trial! Thank you! You have impacted my life greatly!

Are you wondering if you received money from MD involvement? I got this from another post and you can figure out if your compensatory award amount includes anything additional from MD involvement. If you were awarded money ABOVE AND BEYOND $150 a month (compensatory only), then they took your MD involvement into consideration for the amount of money awarded.

Approx. $220 per month for the backpay portion and $150 per month for the compensatory portion, if you submitted that paperwork. Multiply this $220 or $370 by the number of months you were employed by Novartis between July 2002 and July 2010. Additionally, if you attached MD records/letters to your compensatory filing, you will also be granted an amount deemed appropriate for your individual case.
