NCAA FOOTBALL WEEK 8 PICK EM!

NCAA FOOTBALL WEEK 8 PICK EM FINAL

1. PALE HORSE! (9-5) BRONCO FRAUD!! (9-5) (Bronco Fraud beats BroncoBoy Again!!)

2. BRONCOBOY (8-6) & FUCKTARD (8-6)

3. WHITE TRASH (7-7)

4. BAMABOY (6-8) BREAKING NEWS (6-7) Welcome back Breaking News!!

5. TINKRBELLE (4-10) OUCH!! WTF is going on with TINK???

BamaBoy - you on the southern hootch or something, brother? :)

I've never seen so many mistakes in scoring for the multiple weeks in a row. Who keeps track of your pharmaceutical samples? In the future I'll score the games too. And the players can choose which scores to follow.

For everyone's edification, the following picks were the spread winners:

Oregon, Oklahoma St, Clemson, LSU, Stanford, BYU, So. Florida, Michigan, Florida, Texas Tech, Alabama, Kansas St, Arizona and Oregon St.

You can double check your own scores. This is the correct scoring tho:

1. FUCKTARD and BRONCOBOY: 9-5

2. WHITE TRASH and PALE HORSE: 8-6

3. BREAKING NEWS: 7-6

4. BAMABOY: 7-7

5. TINKRBELLE: 5-9

BroncoFraud does not get a score for unsportsman-like conduct. He can score his own fraudulent picks. And they won't be included on the LeaderBoard. :D

(Me thinks Bama is pissed because his only 2 picks that differed from mine were both wrong) ;)

WEEK 8 THOUGHTS:

There were some really impressive games this past weekend. The Gators looked great in the swamp against South Carolina. SC had some players out due to injury and flu but the Gators totally dominated them.

The most impressive win this weekend in my opinion goes to Kansas State. They dismantled West Virginia at West Virginia which is a very tough place to play. K. State beat WVA so bad that Geno Smith is no longer in the running for the Heisman.

BAMA beat the hell out of Tennessee at Neyland Stadium (Capacity 106,000) with Peyton Manning and Fat Phil Fulmer in attendance. BAMA and Tennessee is one of the oldest rivalries in College Football dating back to 1901. Tennessee might not be a great team but BAMA is their biggest and most bitter rival. Major rivals play each other tougher especially at home than non rivals no matter what their ranking (believe me Tennessee hates Alabama especially now with 6 straight wins). AJ McCarron threw for over 300 yards and if he keeps playing like this against SEC defenses he should be invited to New York for the Heisman Trophy Ceremony.

Oregon looked great against Arizona State in Tempe with a capacity of (71,000). Was Arizona or Oregon even states when BAMA and Tennessee started playing in 1901? Just kidding Bronco, don't stroke out on me! The Ducks looked great but I have to agree with one of the ESPN commentators who said "Oregon has not faced a dominant defensive line." Oregon will not face a dominant defensive line until the National Championship if they can beat USC twice. They also have to get past that little team 30 minutes down the road called The Beavers. I am sure they will keep putting up obnoxious video game numbers on pourous swiss cheese defenses.

There is still lots of College Football to be played!!

Tennessee is no damn better than Arizona State. All my fellow players would agree to that. Arizona State was 5-1 going into the Oregon game and the Ducks shitstomped 'em with 43 points in the first half - then sent the scrubs in to play the entire 2nd half. It took Alabama an entire game with their A-TEAM (McCarron, et. al.) on the field until the last 7 minutes of the 4th qrt. to rack up 44 points. heh.

Consider this: Oregon beat U of Arizona 49-0. Oklahoma State lost to U of Arizona 59-38. Oklahoma then beat Iowa State on Saturday 31-10. This was the same Iowa State team that beat TCU 37-23. That gives you an idea of how strong the Ducks are.

Alabama hasn't been tested by a REAL team yet and in no way deserves to be #1. The 2012 team is riding on the coattails of the 2011 team. Y'all in DixieLand know that too! You're just in denial.

Mark my words. My predictions will be borne out. Wait until Bama plays a halfway decent team like LSU (which isn't really that good because their offense truly sucks) or Texas A&M. Watch them struggle. Why? Because they aren't as good as advertised. That's why.

Mississippi State is just another coco puff. Not even worth mentioning.

Jimmy Elllis thought he was the stud heavyweight champ of the world too until he ran into Joe Frazier. heh.

Oh, and Oregon will pulverize Oregon State. Won't even be a ball game. Oregon will have a harder time against USC.

(Me thinks Bama is pissed because his only 2 picks that differed from mine were both wrong) ;)

Hey, Congrats to all of you! I had another bad week, this is where I lost it last year too. But I will continue on, not changing my strategy.

Thanks for re-scoring Bronco- it helped me out:)

I did not think WVA would get beat so bad. I did not think Bama would play so well, and that Florida would play so well, what happened to S. Carolina. They looked like broke dick dogs, and so did Tenessee!

After yesterday, I think Bama and Florida are going to play in the National championship.

I fully concur that Bama played a good game against 3-3 Tennessee and that Bama has a very fine team. We must remember that Sabin kept his A-Team in the game (to include McCarron and Lacy) until the last 7 minutes of the 4th quarter when he sent in the scrubs. He ran up the score. I congratulate Bama for a game well played.

However, I still contend that Bama should not be ranked #1 BCS and AP. I think Oregon would beat them if they played next week. When the facts change I am open to changing my mind. I will have a much better idea when Bama plays LSU and Texas A&M - and when Oregon plays USC, Stanford and Oregon State. But when we get the new poll rankings on Sunday - Oregon should be #1. Alabama should be #2 and Florida should be #3. (Alabama beat Tennesee by a wider margin than Florida beat Tennessee - so that is the rationale I use to rank #2 and #3.

Oregon still needs to play a dominant team, I think Bama should remain #1, and Fla #2.

Thanks, BroncoBoy - I thought that I had made a mistake with my scoring.

PICK 'EM LEADEROARD THROUGH WEEK #8

*********************************************************************

Observations from the cheap seats:

As a group the Pick 'Em players had a fantastic week. Only 1 player was below .500 which was remarkable. The track was wet and muddy - so the mud runners had a field day. Along the backstetch we even had a few position changes; however, the ponies are lumped together in a tight pack when any pony with a spectacular week could jump to the front and become our new leader. But there's alot of racing to go. We've only passed the flags midway around the track and are racing down the backstretch headed for that final stretch and possibly a photo-finish (which is why I work in decimals). The scorecards handed out to the owners have been tainted with misinformation - but we hope to compensate for those errors as we sit back and watch the remainder of the race.

*********************************************************************

1. TINKRBELLE: (49-38) + (5-9) = (54-47)(53.5%) (98.1%) [Tinker might have bruised her thigh coming out of that south turn because she's losing ground fast with only a snout's length separating her and Fucktard for that #1 position. It doesn't look good for Tinker but the crowd continues to cheer her on as she is the favorite filly on the track. Maybe the emotional support will kick her back into high gear. Go, Tinker, Go!]

2. FUCKTARD: (38-38) + (9-5) = (47-43)(52.2%) (87.4%) [Old Fucktard really lit a spark at the turn and surprised some people who thought that she was ready to be put out to pasture. Flash in the pan? Who knows? There's a lot of race left. Next week we could have a whole new group of leaders. But this week Fucktard found her mojo and strutted her stuff.]

3. PALE HORSE: (30-33) + (8-6) = (37-40) [U(48.1%)[/U] (74.6%) [Pale was voted a break by the track officials and put into the Premium Group this week. And it must have tickled his fancy because it quickened his pace. Pale's got an eyeball focused on that pony in front of him with the tail flappin' in the wind. We'll see if this is enough for him to hold 3rd position with BroncoBoy coming up strong on the inside rail only a nose and a half away from taking back #3 position.]

4. BRONCOBOY: (40-49) + (9-5) = (49-54) (47.6%) (100%) [Whoo Hooo! Bronco kept pace with Fucktard to lead the group in Week #8. He galloped around that south turn like a shot out of a cannon. Bronco has traditionally accelerated during the last half of the race. Can he keep the pace? Let's watch and find out.]

5. BAMABOY: (39-50) + (7-7) = (46-57) (44.7%) (100%) [It was a fast week and even though BamaBoy went .500 it was not enough to keep pace. At 7/2 odds he's still got a chance. But he's gotta keep accurate count of those darn distance markers to pace himself. That might not be an easy task for him. Run, Bama, Run!

6. WHITE TRASH: (20-33) + (8-6) = 28-39 (41.8%) (65%) [Nice week for Trash. 8-6. So don't you go throwin' the trash out just quite yet, race fans! This pony's got some leg left. He's going to make a move on the BamaBoy in Week #9 and right about the time Trash goes Premium watch him move toward the lead. But he's got to take some chances to get there.]

7. BREAKING NEWS: (23-39) + (7-6) = (23-39) (40%) (72.8%) [Great to have Breaking News back on the track. And he did real good after last week's water break. Broke 40%!!! And next week he'll be back in the Premium group for sure. 2 good weeks and he could be sniffing at Fucktard's tail!]

8. NIGHT TRAIN LANE: (2-8) + (NP) = (2-8) (25%) (9.7%) [There's lots of history behind 'ol NTL. I don't want to be the one to officially scratch him from the race. So NTL will remain on the board just for the memories. Now if the other ponies voted for a scratch I would have to reconsider. But I would not ask for that vote. You can carry your frieght on Position #8 as far as I am concerned, NTL.

********************************************************************

* First percentage is % of correct picks of total picks by each player.

* Second percentage is % of games each picker has played of the total 103 games that have been posted from Week #1 to Week #8. Those who have not picked at least 75% of the total 103 games are in the sub-premium category and aren't qualified to be on top of the leaderboard. However, sub-premium players can join the premium group by picking all the games from this point on, as long as they raise their % of total games picked to 75% or more.

Mark my words, sports fans -

Alabama gets beat by at least one of the the floosies on their schedule.

The only way they go to the national championship is if they rig the polls like they did last year.

I have proven to you with statistics that Oregon is the #1 BCS and AP team.

And that point will become clearer to you as the season moves along. :)

Many of you folks thought the GameCocks were the 2012 badd asses of college ball too, didn't ya????

How'd that turn out???? :D

BroncoBoy! Stop the press!! Michigan was -10 and the final score was Michigan 12 Michigan State 10. Michigan did not win by over 10 points!! Who is hittin the hooch now? It actually is my fault because on the final I put Michigan in red instead of Mich State!

I just told Bamababy and he took a dump in his britches/diaper. Well he took a dump because I just fed him and he doesn't understand spreads, yet...

I'm not hittin' the hootch. I just followed your highlighted red winners and did the math. So it looks like everyone got the Michigan game wrong except for Pale Horse. Fine. I'll redo the LeaderBoard tomorrow. Everyone take away one win and add one loss besides Pale Horse who goes the opposite way. It's not going to make any difference in the standings anyway. Just drop the win percentages a smidgeon.

Here, seriously, sportsfans.

Compare and contrast:

Alabama's games in 2012 (so far)

1 Michigan Wolverines W 41-14
2 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers W 35-0
3 Arkansas Razorbacks W 52-0
4 Florida Atlantic Owls W 40-7
5 Mississippi Rebels W 33-14
7 Missouri Tigers W 42-10
8 Tennessee Volunteers W 44-13

Oregon's games in 2012 (so far)

1 Arkansas State Red Wolves W 57-34
2 Fresno State Bulldogs W 42-25
3 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles W 63-14
4 Arizona Wildcats W 49-0
5 Washington State Cougars W 51-26
6 Washington Huskies W 52-21
8 Arizona State Sun Devils W 43-21

At least Fresno, Arizona, Washington State, Washington and Arizona State are on the damn map.

Who the F are the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers for Christ sakes?

The Florida Atlantic Owls??? hehe :D

Arkansas sucks. We know that.

Mississippi sucks.

Mizzou sucks.

Tennessee was a 3-3 loser at gametime on Saturday.

Please, don't tell me that Alabama is a proven #1 ranked team of stud muffins.

LOOK AT THEIR DAMN SCHEDULE SO FAR!

And Sabin leaves his A-TEAM in for practically the entire game to run the score up against each opponent while Chip Kelly plays his Oregon A-TEAM up until he has a 3-4 touchdown lead then pulls them - like he did in the Arizona State game.

THINK, PEOPLE!

Don't be a hater, by my count last week I was 9-5 which gives me 64% (24%).
Mr. Bama please don't kick me off the board but I have to agree with the other Bronco on the tide, when they play a real team they are in trouble. no denying they have a great defense but I don't think they can put up the numbers offensively to keep up with a team like the gators. Now fancy pants Bronco don't go get a fat head because I agree with you on the tide, you hear me boy.

Mark my words. The Gators will beat Bama in the SEC Championship game. That is, if Bama makes it there.
