Tink, do you think Stanford will outright beat Oregon or lose to Oregon and just beat the spread?

I think Oregon is not going to beat the spread on this one. I dn't think Stanford will win though. I do think Ore has some injured players, and I think their defense is weak-- they let USC score 51 points on them). Stanford really wants the win. ANd I am sick of Oregon, I used to like them, but I am starting to agree with BAMAboy on their offense (I forget what he called it).

I know the whole PAC 12 is sick of Ore and all the teams want someone in the PAC 12 to beat them.

1. North Carolina vs. Virginia +3 [For reasons already stated, this one is a no-brainer. Risk taking is honorable as long as the risk is manageable. IMO this one is not. I think Virginia gets walked on here. But then I thought Louisville would kick Syracuse's ass last week too. So what do I know?]

I think you're wrong on this one. I think the rest of the PAC 12 RESPECTS Oregon and does not hate them. Oregon has the strongest offense in the nation. They score at will. Sometimes it take a little time for Oregon to pick up a head of steam. But once they do watch the F out! A couple teams have been able to stay in the game in the first half. Then Oregon blows them out of the stadium in the 2nd half. I agree that there are weaknesses in Oregon's defense. But there is no team that can match the points that Oregon puts up on the board. An average of 54 points per game through 10 games. That's an average of about 2 TD's per quarter!

I think Paula Deen is useful as a counter indicator. Whatever she predicts I normally go opposite. So if she chooses Georgia I will go with their opponent.

But Mark May makes sense most of the time. I do listen to what he has to say. For an ESPN guy to predict that Oregon wins all three of their next games takes balls. Those are 3 tough games. But if he claims that Georgia would beat Alabama in the SEC championship - that's where we part ways. Georgia looked good against Florida - but then it turned out that Florida was really not that good of a ball team after all.

But I pity the fool that plays Oregon.

Rumor on the street is Chip Kelly is gone to the NFL after this season. NCAA is about to come down hard on The Ducks and Coach Kelly needs to find even greener pastures. I don't think any team in college football this season is totally unbeatable.

Chip Kelly and Coach Peterson from Boise are very good friends. I know that Coach Peterson just re-uped his contract with Boise. But I thought there was always a possibility that he would move onto Oregon after Chip left.

I don't think NCAA penalties on Oregon (if there are any at all) will be anything close to what you project.

As far as an unbeatable team in 2012/13 - you just met one. They are called the Oregon Ducks.

2. Northwestern vs. Michigan St. -7 [Screwy odds. This one is evenly matched. The rule is when 2 teams are evenly matched you take the team with the points.]

3. Rutgers vs. Cinncinnati -6.5 [I am going to break the rule here on a gut feeling. These 2 are evenly matched as well. But I take CINN. If the spread was 7 I might go with Rutgers. Rutgers has a load of injuries too.]

4. Arkansas vs. Mississippi St. -7 [I knew the Razorbacks stunk from the start of the season. Nothing has changed. They still suck today. Miss St. embarrasses the hell out of the State of Arkansas tomorrow.]

5. So. Florida vs. Miami -6.5 [I hate those 6.5 spreads. So. Fla is not a bad team. They lost to Syracuse by only 1 and to Louisville by only 2. I noticed that Miami lost to Virginia. That's bad. So. Fla upset here.]

6. USC vs. UCLA +3.5 [Why should UCLA get the 3.5 pts when they lead the PAC 12 South Division over USC and lead USC in the BCS??? UCLA is unpredicable. Sometimes they play great - and the next week they play shitty. I think they play shitty tomorrow.]

7. Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma St. -10.5 [#23 vs. #24. Too evenly matched for a 10.5 pt spread]

8. NC State vs. Clemson -16.5 [NC St. beat FSU. Clemson lost to FSU. This one will be closer than you think. Clemson won't beat the spread.]

9. Wake Forest vs. Notre Dame -23.5 [WF is a terrible team. Lost to NC St. last week 37-6. If Notre Dame can't blow WF away by 30 points they have no business being ranked in the top 10 - let alone #3.

10. Ohio St. vs. Wisconsin -2.5 [WTF is Wisconsin favored here? 10-0 vs. 7-3? Ohio St. always finds a way to win. A dirty win is still a win. And OSU is known for their dirty wins.]

11. Oklahoma vs. West Virginia +11 [Something is very wrong with W. Va. They lost their last 4 games. Oklahoma steamrolls them.]

12. Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt -4 [Tennessee's losses have all been by small margins - except against Alabama. They are better than their record shows. Vandy has not beat a quality team this year. Tennessee beats them for the upset.]

13. Syracuse vs. Mizzou -4.5 [HA! Why is Mizzou the favorite here??? Christ, Syracuse just handed Louisville a whoop ass can last week!!! HA! This spread makes no sense. Mizzou just ain't that good.]

14. Kansas St. vs. Baylor +13 [K-State wins big this week. Their ass whoopin' is coming next week. If K-State can beat Texas Tech by 41 they can certainly beat Baylor by 13.]

15. Stanford vs. Oregon -20 [You know I love my Ducks. I bet against my Ducks and their -28 point spread against Cal. They beat it handily. But Stanford is a bad ass team. If the spread were -15 I would take the Ducks. But not -20. However, the Ducks will bring home a win for sure. Btw, I hope the Ducks win by 80 and make an ass out of me. I hope I am wrong!!!
