NCAA FOOTBALL 2012 WEEK 2 PICK EM!

Oh, without a doubt. Kiffen folds when the heat is on. Saban is steady as a rock. Saban is NFL material. Kiffen had his shot at the FNFL and flunked. Saban won't stay at Bama much longer. He's no Bear Bryant. The temptation of extreme weath will be too much to resist. The days of the Bear Bryants are long gone. Bama won't be able to match an NFL bid.

Saban already coached in the NFL and he shit the bed. Lou is a great college coach - plain and simple. He may be lured back to the NFL if a team offers him a fat contract, but I don't expect he will do any better his second time around in the pro ranks than he did the first time with the Miami Dolphins.

Did anyone watch the Notre Dame game?

Backup QB Tommy Rees who started last year came in for the final series and drove ND down the field 75 yards in less than 2 minutes with NO timeouts and set the FG kicker up for a chip shot that won the game with only seconds on the clock.

Tommy was not a stand-out last year but has his moments. This year a soph. named Golson beat him out as the #1 QB. Golson played OK. But was unable to execute consistent drives against Purdue. For Rees to come cold off the bench with less than 2 minutes and no times outs and drive the team 75 yards for the winning FG was damn impressive.

On TV they mentioned Rees was suspended for ND's first game with Navy in Ireland but didn't say why. I checked on-line. Rees was arrested on 4 misdeameanor charges after the cops crashed a student house party in South Bend and he jumped a fence and ran. Shit, students should have a constitutional right to run from a house party when the cops show up due to noise problems. Only the home owner/renter should remain on the scene. The reason the cops showed up was noise. And if partygoers run off the noise subsides. I can't count on both hands how many times I jumped through open windows at house party keggers in high school and college when the cops knocked on the doors. That shouldn't be a crime for God sakes!!! Anyway, somehow the cops caught up to Rees and he reportedly kneed some cop in the stomach so they filed resisting charges too. That was a felony charge later reduced to a misdeameanor. So Coach Kelly had to suspend him for the first game for appearance sake.

After reading about Rees' suspension I'm a big fan. He should have a right to attend a private party, have a few beers and split when the cops show up. That's what college kids do! I hope Coach Kelly starts him next game. And after watching his performance in the last 2 minutes of the game - he certainly deserves it!!!

Rock on, Tommy Rees! You da man!!!! :D

The PAC-12 and USC, ASU (and even hate to admit Arizona) DOMINATE!!!

:D:D

Besides (1) USC (2) ASU and (3) Arizona you forgot about (4) Oregon (5) UCLA and (6) Oregon State and (7) Stanford. That's over HALF of their conference! Some real bad asses!

I'm telling you.....the PAC 12 is the conference to beat in 2012/13!!

You might be right. That was only a WAG. LSU and Bama are strong teams for sure. But Oregon has the quickest team in the nation and USC has one of the best QB's around. A tag team showdown between Bama/LSU and Oregon/USC would be a knock down drag out.

But I firmly believe that at the end of Week #2 that the PAC 12 is the best conference in the nation.

Yep!! PAC-12 rules

Oh, yeah:D Just too many good winning teams to mention!!!!

Boy, could I have been any farther off on my prediction in the Arizona/Oklahoma State game?

"12. OKLAHOMA STATE Vs. ARIZONA +10.5 [Oklahoma State is just going to embarrass the shit out of Arizona at home. The spread should be 3 TD's here]

HAH!

Who would have ever guessed that Arizona would whoop dey asses by THREE TD's??

Think of the shitload of money you could have won in Vegas on that game by going with the underdog?

Me too, how embarrassing for OK State!

BamaBoy - I remind you again.....I believe I only got 3 picks correct in Week #1. I am unable to find the 4th win you gave me. Please review it again. That would make me 7-17, not 8-16 on the leaderboard. I only want the wins that I earned.

Tink - here we go again. Last year you jumped out into the lead at the start too. Good week! Try to hold it.

BreakingNews - I think I understand how you feel. It's a long season. All you need is one good week to jump back into the pack. Persistence!

Only pick the games that are sure things. Fucktard is higher than Bamaboy because she did not pick all of the games. She gets a higher win-loss ratio.

Stanford a real bad ass? HAHAHAHAHA!! They almost got beat by San Jose State last week at home!

OK I will give you USC, Oregon and maybe Arizona and Arizona State. I will put an SEC defense over a PAC 12 offense any day. I think that the PAC 12 is a very good conference and the Big 10 is a very bad conference.

Until someone dethrones the SEC in the NC they have not earned the title "Most Dominate Conference in College Football."

The chicks are winning so far....let's see if we can keep it up.

You gotta love Tinks and Broncbacks posts.

Their mouths are writing checks in week 2 that their asses can't cash.

I predict SEC 1 & 2 this year. It will be humiliating for them. Watch for the Hairy like excuses come December and January.

Good point. Perhaps we should consider another rule. All players must pick each game on the weekly pick list and are not allowed to cherry pick the games.

I think Fuckie deserves to be @ #2 position since she has picked at least 75% of the games. As we progress into the season a few games omitted here and there isn't going to make that much of a difference. But if someone jumps in mid-season they are automatically downgraded on the cumulative leaderboard - but they can compete on a weekly basis, of course.

BamaBoy has the final say with a majority consensus tho.

We'll see how Stanford holds up against USC next week. They aren't the team that they were in 2011 w/ A. Luck. But I think they are still a contender. They creamed Duke - which I admit isn't saying much. Stanford is 2-0 going into the USC game at home. I expect USC to be a 2 TD favorite. Don't laugh quite yet, BamaBoy. The verdict on Stanford isn't in yet.

And you left out Oregon State and UCLA.

If you watched Oregon State against Wisconsin like I did you would have seen a completely different ball team from last year. OS had a lot of players injured who are back on the roster. Awesome defense. I think they stay within 10 points of both Oregon and USC. I think Oregon State could beat a team like Mizzou.

And that new Coach Mora from UCLA has done practically the impossible. Fired Coach Neuheisel left him high and dry. He took a loser team and turned them into winners. Did you see them B-slap Nebraska? Coach Mora might end up the NCAA coach of the year for the most improved team. I think UCLA could give Georgia a run for their money.

I fully concur that LSU and Bama are powerhouses. Whether USC or Oregon could beat either of them is a coin toss.

Hmmm. I see that USC are 10 pt. favorites over Stanford in the pre-game odds. Hmmm. That would be almost a sure USC pick for me if they stay at 10.

Oh, btw, I see that Boise is a 21 pt favorite over Miami of Ohio. Hmmm. That might be a bit too much. I see that Miami Oh beat So. Illinioise last week by a couple TD's. But Ohio State walloped them the week before. I don't have much faith in the Boise offense. I think a 10 pt. spread would make more sense.

Night Train - how do you rate Miami of Ohio?

FWIW, Stanford is #21 in the AP and #16 in the USA Today Coaches poll - but then again Arkansas was #8 in the AP and so was Michigan the week before.

Take it all with a grain of salt.

Let's stay focused on Saturday afternoons and see what comes out in the wash. The final score doesn't lie.

How's that for a plan? :)

Another laugh is Michigan State ranked at AP #10. HAH! :D

God almighty - the Spartans barely made it past Boise at home (won by 4 lousy pts) and the Boise offense sucked eggs!

That #10 ranking is history come Saturday.

The pre-game odds show Michigan State a 3.5 pt. favorite and they are playing at home. Ridiculous.

All Brian Kelly has to do is stop RB Bell. Hit him high and hit him low at the line of scimmage. Keep him under 75 rushing yards and ND wins by 2 TD's.
