Welcome to Week 2 of NCAA FOOTBALL PICK EM! It's good to be back and to have another season of College Football about to begin to save us from Major League Baseball and other boring summer sports.

DIRECTIONS: I have attached and posted the USA Today Odds for these twelve games and chose the "average," of all of the different odds making services that USA Today endorses. Please choose wisely and see if you will be the NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKER for the week. This is only for bragging rights!

NCAA 2012 PICK EM LEADER BOARD

1. (6-6) Tinkrbelle, Pale Horse, BAMABOY

2. (6-2) Fucktard

3. (4-8) BroncoBoy

SUMMARIZED RULES:

1) Pickers who elect to remain anonymous are welcome, but must adopt an unregistered sport's board name (ie. BroncoBoy) to get due recognition for your picks. Please identify yourself with each post.

2) During regular season play all picks will be based on the "odds" or the "point" system reported by USA Today (SportsDirect) prior to the week's games. The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply.

3) A player may change his pick selection at any point prior to game time with the original point spead

4) Not all NCAA Div. 1 games will make the weekly "Pick-Em" schedule. Only those major games of interest. We are going for quality here. Not quantity. Games with a 21 "point" spread or greater are highly discouraged. If a picker wants to add an unlisted game contact the interim coordinator BroncoBoy.

5) All pickers shall show respect and courtesy toward their fellow pickers. A competitive spirit is fine. But let's keep it clean and be friends. We don't want to evolve into vitriol and mean spiritness that got the poli board shut down. Be nice to one another.

6) In the event of a board dispute on operational matters - all disputes will be resolved by the majority. There are no kings or queens on this board who have the final say. We are a democracy - and the majority rules. If the majority is only 2 people - so be it.

7) Post-season play (bowl games) shall be based on straight picks and NOT the "point" system used during regular season play.

**I'd like the right to change my picks should the spreads change between now and Saturday - is that A-OK?

BamaBoy, thanks for the extra 'win' in Week 1 but I think I only got 3 right: 1) Notre Dame 2) Syracuse 3) Georgia Tech on the spread. Where's my 4th win? It's important for all of us to play it straight and only take the 'wins' that we deserve.

Good lineup for Week 2, btw.

Bronco

BamaBoy - in reference to fuckie's question, correct me if I'm wrong - but don't the rules allow any player to change a pick anytime up to game time - however the spread listed on the originally posted PICK 'EM sheet remains intact even if the actual spread changes after it's posted?

Please clarify.

Even though I am not the event coordinator, I vote yes to fuckie's question.

Even though I am not the event coordinator, I vote yes to fuckie's question.

I vote 'yes' to fuckie's question too under one condition. That fuckie must use the original spread shown on the Pick 'Em game sheet. Otherwise it becomes way too complicated with players using different spreads for the same game and it put some players at an unfair competitive disadvantage. But if fuckie wants to change picks prior to game time while keeping the same spread - I see no problem with that at all. Better to keep it simple. It makes life much easier for BamaBoy too who has to coordinate all this stuff. Why make him work harder?

So I vote "yes" on the pick change and I vote "no" on a spread change.

Bronco.

Hey Bronco, Fucktard and Tinkr. Sorry for my delayed response. You are all correct. You can change your pick up until game time. The spread I have listed does not change though. The reason being is most point spreads don't have a significant change after I list them 2-3 days in advance of the game. We are not playing for money and only bragging rights so that is also another reason. I hope everyone is in agreement with this? Just let me know.

As a matter of fact, the official board rules already state: "The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply"

BamaBoy, should we consider an amendment to the rules as follows?: "A player may change his pick selection at any point prior to game time with the original point spead"?

Thank, Bama. I concur. Good reasoned decision, boss.

I know it's not listed - but that Nevada - South Florida game should be interesting with Nevada favored by 1.5 pts. Nevada were big underdogs against Pac 12 Cal last week and beat them by a full TD at home. Anybody know how South Florida stacks up this year?

Yeah I saw that match up and was interested. Sorry I did not list it in the pick em this week. I think Skip Holtz has done a good job of recruiting and coaching his recent teams up.

Yeah let's go ahead and revise the rules to make this change. I will add it to the rules. I just revised the rules.

I only asked because I've seen spreads change now and again, but if BamaBoy says his spread doesn't change, then that's cool. There's time posting on all edits to your posts, so anyone can check a change in team and if it was done before game time or not.

I'm good with not changing a spread at all, and pre-game time pick changes.

Pale, didn't you read BamaBoy's instructions?

You're supposed to make your winning picks BOLD so he can read them easier when he scores them.

Bold is nice but underlining works. I just want the picker to have some uniformity to their picks. A nice consistent format makes it easier for me to make sure I get the picks correct.

I appreciate you pointing this out Bronco because in the past unfortunately you were the worst offender. Not trying to be disrespectful but it sounds like you got the hang off it. Sorry I was not trying to be a douche bag..You know I am not like that.

I have always underlined my picks, Bamaboy. But I would be happy to make them BOLD too if it would help you score them. Whatever it takes to make your job easier. I just thought that it would be best if all followed your original instructions uniformily.
