National Meeting Memorial Day week?

Why is a meeting location so critical? You go to a meeting in a hotel, you’re shut inside all day and have your schedule programmed while you’re there. Meeting location is irrelevant.

We are ALL sick of the secrets! We are told nothing here! Including numbers and everything else! So yeah we would like to know something!

Laughing at this thread, and all the angst coming with it about a meeting! It’s another indication of out of touch leader ship. MB is out of whack and clueless about field needs, I wonder if he’s keeping a tally of everyone who has left because of him.

If they made the meeting the first week in May you would complain because it’s just after Easter. And what about graduations? Is it Takeda’s job to build their meetings around the graduation ceremony for your previous crotch fruit? Here’s the deal mommy. Takeda is a business. A very big business. They pay you well and insure your offspring. You knew graduation was coming a long time ago. Put your time off request in and block out those days. You’re probably just angry because you were planning to make it a four day weekend and you weren’t going to burn those vacation days.

So here is your three step plan;
1. Show up
2. Shut up
3. Stand and clap like the trained monkey you are.

I agree with some of this, but scheduling a NSM the day after a major holiday is complete BS!!! Now instead of relaxing and enjoying the holiday with our families we get to spend it preparing for this completely unnecessary meeting doing irrelevant pre-work, packing, end of the month stuff, and going to bed early because most of us will probably have to fly out at the crack of dawn.

Happy Memorial Day!

Depending on where it is and what time it starts some of us might have to fly in the night before. Now that’s a great holiday.

Everyday is a holiday for pharmaceutical reps at Takeda and elsewhere! Quit your snowflake bitching and be glad that Takeda is dumb enough to pay us what they do for the little we do! As with all meetings, fake smiles and enthusiasm is the key to getting through the stupidity. Practice your ass kissing. Trust no one so be careful what you say to others, and always assume what you say is being overheard or will be repeated to management. Be the first to breakout rooms. Ask a lot of stupid questions. Watch your body language. Don’t drink too much. Clap loudly when the speaker is through presenting, as if it’s the best presentation in the history of pharma. Don’t complain about ANYTHING!

When it’s over, you can relax and go back to your old ways. Just remember those 2 reasons every month to follow my above suggestions!

This is genius advice. Definitely someone who has been around here long enough to see through the BS veneer of our culture. Takeda has been a festering wellspring of corporate cronyism for at least ten years. Keep your mouth shut. Smile a lot and clap like your life depends on it.

Whaaaaaa. Whaaaaaa. I might have to actually get up before 9:00 and get on a plane to attend a meeting. Whaaaaaa. I'm going to miss precious time with my family. Whaaaaaa. I'm allergic to gluten and they won't accommodate my special dietary needs at the buffet. Whaaaaaa. I'm going to miss my favorite yoga class. Whaaaaaa. The mean people at Takeda didn't check in with me before scheduling a meeting.

All of you, please STFU. You've had nearly two years of working from home in your pajamas. Pretending to be scared of the flu so you didn't have to earn your pay. Enough. Time to get back to work. Or quit. Your choice.

We need to refuse to fly out on a holiday.

Are you kidding me? We used to fly to meetings on Sunday night back when this company first started. I recall that our first five NSMs all took place during Valentine's Day. We had a couple where we flew in on Super Bowl Sunday and the company hosted a party for us. It's called work. Go ahead and "refuse to fly on a holiday." See how that works out for you. You think you work in a union? Norma Ray doesn't work here and she isn't going to organize the protest. Bunch of spoiled little babies here.

I don’t mind these meetings - it’s part of the job, but Valentine's Day and Super Bowl are not the same as a national holiday.

If the meetings were worth anything it would be ok! But everything sucks! And we just got back from two meetings! WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
