Your crazy. You said it, "leadership let US down" therefore we should get a severance. I agree Shire is a great company which is why they will do the right thing.

Wow. Some people are so ignorant. I left Shire a week ago because I was looking for a sales job that was more challenging, and guess what - I found my DREAM job. And it's not in pharma.

I too was ready to be let go because I knew there was better opportunities out there. There are ALWAYS opportunities.

I am not going to single myself out as the former rep that still goes on the cafe pharma page for Shire news, so I will just say that I found a job that markets exclusively to medical offices. Obviously companies like that will value experience working with doctors - even pharma experience.

The severance package is posted on Orbit. Its not like its some big secret or special deal..
However, I dont think you qualify for one if you are SC'd.-Made like Arnold-Terminated.
 












I must say aside all the bull you read on cafe pharma it is truly sad that Shire is having layoffs. Maybe I was brainwashed but I always thought we were solid and this would not happen anytime soon. I pray for the reps and families affected by this and hope everyone will find a job fast!!!

We wouldn't be worrying about layoffs if we didn't have that huge expansion. It was obvious to me that the expansion was a mistake as soon as I saw my lower ranked doctors with a market volume of between 5 and 10 patients a month.
