MS Role Base Salary

I’m a manager in this division. There is a hard cap on what we can offer new hires, which is 145K. This is still higher than our peers, but nowhere near what is being said on this thread. Most offers, with experience, in the 120k - 130k range.....straight facts.

Maybe you are a manager in the Midwest. I got an offer of 168 base in the coast. No lie.

That is a lie. I am an ABL in this division and first of all we are not called managers we are called ABLs which is how I know you are not with Novartis and just a troll. There is a kid who received a 185k base salary offer but he was a field marketer in MS. I have not seen any offer below 145k Base. That’s the truth.

just got an offer with base of 165k but that seems extremely low for MS? Couldn’t I get a much higher base at Genentech, Genzyme or Biogen? Heard the average MS base is 190k

i accepted my offer last week. 155k Base.... how are you guys getting these 180k to 210k bases? I am a Neuroscience Specialist. Are you guys KAMs? I heard there is a role here called Strategic Account Manager with bases in the 300k range? Just calling on MS Centers. How do I get one of these?

dude, It's all BS...no one is getting those numbers it's just a bunch of dick swinging and all fairy tails... you know.... I caught a fish this big "........................" and actually it was "...."

WOW so much of these posts are from CNN/FAKE NEWS I can tell you there have been some offers put on the table, but NOT like what I am seeing posted. The start date is Oct. 15 Six weeks away. Go enjoy the long weekend and then see how the bag starts to shake out.

I came from Genentech (MS division is really screwed up at Genentech- goals messed up for 75% of country)- my base was 163k. Novartis gave me 11% raise- now 179k.

I've been in MS space for 9 years- and yes most people have base over 150k. I would assume Novartis will be similar. Excited to get started!

As a non-rep, I'm curious as to what it is you guys do that justifies this kind of dough. What is it? You just call on physicians, tell them a little bit about your products that treat MS, leave some samples and literature, and get them to sign a form, correct?

No it’s a lot more involved than that moron! When you can go toe to toe with an MS Specialist and generate 40 MM in revenue for the company (MS drugs are 70k btw) then 250k annual income is nothing!

Now we know who you are you idiot

It depends on where your base was. If you were making $135K then $150 is a reasonable jump. The person getting $180 might have been making $160 before. you dont deserve that pay if your salary was much lower. That person might have had more exp than you too! It is what it is.

Why should your previous salary have any bearing on your future salary? I always thought this was an asinine concept and it is illegal in many states. It opens up the employer to law suits since it can be highly discriminatory. If you are both doing the same job then the salaries should be commensurate with your skill set, not your previous pay.

You people are all getting ridiculously overpaid, so I wouldn't sweat minor disparities if I were you. These are some of the cushiest, easiest jobs in America. Just be glad you have one of 'em. Not everyone is so lucky.
