MS Role Base Salary

ABL here. Only 66 MS reps will be hired. Average base salary is 145 to 185k and bonus is 40k. Nobody that I know has been offered less than 145k in Base. Nobody. Only 5 are getting sign on bonus but that’s due to loss of Biogen RSUs. The kid who got offered 185k had years of MS experience and served as a TLL for another MS company.

I should have stayed in the neurology (ms) market years ago. Wow! great salaries, but it
is a little shocking people would get on a public website and start bragging about their salaries. Very childish. I guess I am "old school" in that way, I would never divulge my salary except to my husband. This kind of stuff gives Pharma Reps a bad reputation. It's actually very low class.

Get with the times sweetie...

I got 170k base... no prior MS experience but I've been in the neuro market for 10 years. Some of the strongest relationships in my market for sure. And I can tell you Biogen also offered me a position and it was low- 123k. My prior base was 142k. Great raise and very excited for this opportunity. All pharma is big pharma if you don't like it probably not the industry for you anymore!

You did not get $176 for MS. Oncology reps don't even make that unless they've been doing it for many years. Novartis isn't paying $176. Try 140 max

They are lying . I assure you

Not lying. Management does not want you to know what your peer is making. But basically they are paying the new MS sales force 20 to 40 percent more than the previous NOVARTIS people who held positions. History will repeat itself. Specialty MS positions are paying 200k in total but you have to jump to get the money!

It depends on where your base was. If you were making $135K then $150 is a reasonable jump. The person getting $180 might have been making $160 before. you dont deserve that pay if your salary was much lower. That person might have had more exp than you too! It is what it is.

Those days are long over Johnny. MS has decreased in the last 18 months BIG TIME. It is now a commodity market a shrewd above cholesterol. Too many mess have flooded the market in recent years making the specialization near impossible due to the amount of reps calling on treating neurologists. Legacy reps who have been with their respective companies forever will make that but new Johnny’s like yourself can have all the experience in the world and that’s all your getting. Be happy with $140. Biogen is now paying $115. Good luck

Bingo. Genzyme and Genentech aren’t making that. Only Legacy reps who transferred from one company to the other. The other folks who joined make regular salaries no different than any other specialty company
