You stated opinions, NOT facts. Here are facts, the combined company, in the US, is led by legacy Genentech (or other outsiders), no legacy roche. The corporate headquaters is in SSF, the 90% of all SSF based employees are legacy genentech. Virtually all of the management, marketing, etc, in legacy genentech products are former legacy genentech people.

The whole thing about "Big Pharma", "Dumb lazy reps", and "destroying our brand" are just gWhining. The facts are that Genentech leadership runs the show, at the senior levels. If you dont like work for mother roche, QUIT! There will be a thousand people looking to replace you.

Nice opinion, but we need facts. How did the roche acquisition result in Avastin down 25%? EXACTLY, how did Roche destroy Genentech? Again, act as the well educated rational person that you think you are. Pretend the we are all doctors, and give us objective facts. If you can give verifiable facts, that means that you are simply gWhining.
 




































No reason to be concerned at all. If they cut ALL of Managed Care marketing I doubt anyone would notice the loss. That group has not done anything for years except suck funds from other areas.

There is no "Roche" side or "Genentech" side; we are all one company. The parent company is called "Roche", in the US we are called Genentech. There is no question that is termendous bloating in that department, as well as many others in SSF. To compare, prior to the merger legacy Roche has 4 people in MC marketing, legay genentech had more than forty.

But then again, genentech was running as a very inefficient operation, trying to be more like a university than a business. TRIP THE FAT! ALL OF IT!

Roche did not buy 100% of Genentech in 1990. They bought a percentage of the company with teh right to buy the rest based on both a put and a call price. DO not rewite history. Roche later bout all of the stock for $60 a shere when ot had been actually trading above that price. They then did an IPO on Genentech stock and sold 43% of the newly created shares and made a fortune. At tha time, it was by far the most successful IPO ever.

As for now, Genetech was run on the commercial side by Novartis and GSK clowns for the 5-6 years priro to Roche coming in. That was the start of the downfall of Genentech. That is why people say that Ian did what Myrtle could not ever do.....make Myrtle look good!!

Stop the gWhining. Genentech became successful with roche money. There is a reason that Novartis and GSK did not buy the 100% that Roche did decades. Roche took a chance on a nothing company, and the gamble paid of in spades. The fact is that you work for ROCHE! Stop pining for the "good old days". THEY WERE GONE LONG BEFORE ROCHE TOK OFFICIAL OWNERSHIP oF GENENTECH! "Genentech" is dead and gone. If you dont believe me, please tell me where you can purchase genentech stock.
