More HCV resignations

Let me guess, he says just keep focused on your job right? Creep doesn't want you to look out for yourself until it's too late. Stop now and update your resume and networking ASAP.

Well said by poster #24. Mgmt. will lead you down this path making you think everything is going so well until the mandatory conference call. Based on past layoffs Abbvie usually likes to layoff/restructure on a Tues or Wed.

My money is on the week of 4th of July.

Take the advice of poster #24 don't wait. Start looking now.

Thanks to you and Peter 24. I'm going to take your advice because everyone says it's easier to get a job when you still have one.

There are no layoffs planned r*****s. If ther were, they occur ONLY after AbbVie announced earnings. Q2 earnings will be soon, but again, there will be no HCV layoffs.

If you get a better gig, see ya. We are not forcing anyone to stay.

Makes more sense that the restructuring will be in place for the start of S2 - I expect something by the all employee meeting. There is NO WAY we can continue to support the size of the HCV sales force OR brand team.

Isn't it funny how we ignore the rectum kissing Abvvie lifers who say no problem. It's all good Bro'!

A swift kick in the ass and immediate loss of insurance coverage.

The day you are notified of your layoff is your last day.
Depending upon the number of people being laid off there could be a WARN notification. That gives you an add'l 60 days paid.
You 2 weeks severance for each year of service
Additional .5 weeks for every year over the age of 40
Any unused vacation time
Offer you a buyout/purchase for your car. Over inflated price.

That's about it. Once severence runs out so do your benefits. Cobra is offered but it tends to be very pricey for the coverage offered.

No double dipping. If you find a job you have to let them know otherwise they come after you for repayment.

Not on par with industry standard. Other companies will allow you the entire amount you are entitled to regardless if you find another job.

If you notice a lot of people going out on medical leave they tend to be the deadbeats milking the system because they know layoffs are coming. They axe people on medical leave so it's not a safe haven.

When will we be notified?

All correct - except it's one week for every year of service

Not all packages are the same …. Meaning there is no standard here - what is described here is what has happened in the past but that doesn't mean it will happen again.
