More field rides in 2024

Are you for real? Listened to their coaches? This isn’t the NFL. You are supposed to be our partners in strategy and skill building not just coaches. The Novartis ABL model is so outdated. Clean house of all the management training team
I bet you falter and collect sample sigs all day everyday and think you made impact. Too ,any reps like you slipped through the cracks and should never have been hired.

That’s exactly what Novartis wants. They force us to leave a limited amount of samples so we can get the signatures of all the docs in the same offices every week, while ignoring the majority of our territory. Then they make us go to “Account Based Selling” training, while simultaneously preventing us from doing so. You have to decide if you truly love to sell and would be happier at a company that rewards sales, or if you want to coast through life and be a sample dropper for Novartis.

The ABL is the most useless job in the company. On every call our manager begs for days in the field. He brings no value and my docs never remember who he is. He knows nobody wants to ride with him it's sad.

Just came back from fast start meeting. Role play after role play for 2 days. The training department in every big pharma company are dumb and lazy. They are still dusting off the same playbook from 1980.
I don’t doubt any of this. Novartis is one of the picturesque big Pharma companies. Seeing that it’s always been this way and will never change, why do you people choose to hang out and still rep there?

Ok, your English is horrible, but I get the gist of what you’re trying to say.
Most people are here temporarily because they took a job offer full of empty promises. They are just putting in enough time to make this span look reasonable on the resume.

Nothing says "get out there and start the year out right" like two days in a poorly-lit, modestly priced hotel room listening to our partners read off the same screenshots.
You can't help but laugh.

Oh yea the English professor is hard at work on here. You must be a useless bottom feeder ABL. This is glorified text messaging on here ya ass clown. You sux and that’s why you can’t find another job outside of Nfartis.

Yeah….that’s why I’m on here complaining about my manager doing so many field rides, Einstein.
I was trying to figure out what you meant about Novartis being “picturesque.” After reading aloud, I’m thinking you mean it’s the “picture of?”
There was something else too that didn’t make sense and my theory was you either talk to texted that thing or English is your second language.
Either way, I figured out what you were trying to say and answered.

Help me understand this… Novartis CV knows culture sucks. They are working diligently to improve it they say.

So they increase field rides, implement more micromanagement, track us to death, spend unnecessary money on computers/phones, encouraged to give more 2’s on field rides, give more shitty data, pay less bonus, the list goes on and on. Time to get out and get out fast.

That’s because all of the people who are either directors, executive directors or VP’s in the skills training department are fucking dinosaurs they haven’t been close to a field
Sales role in 20 years. If you dare to tell them their ideas are outdated you will be out on your ass. They need people who have been close to the field not people hired from the outside a few years ago from other companies where they held the same roles. Promote from within Novartis and maybe you will get some fresh ideas

Because "culture" isn't real. It doesn't exist. Its not quantifiable. Its why they blather on about it incessently.
More money? Professional grade data? Equitable bonus payouts? Territory level goaling?
Those are real. Those require doing something. Those require legitimate investments and hard conversations. Its why they never talk about subjects like those (and others).
That's why they'll continue to trade in empty platitudes about "culture". Is it better or worse? Who knows, since it isn't really provable.
Don't fall for it. It's a misdirection off of legitimate issues. If you listen to that nonsense you're only doing senior management a favor.
