That does not mean they wont get sued from time to time, but by far they will do most of the suing going forward. Ever heard of gary Michaelson? They bought ALL his patents and he has a TON. Ever heard of Kyphon - they paid 4.2 billion and used CASH. Ever heard of Zimmer, Biomet, Smith & nephew, - they are looking, and capable, of BUYING those companies when and if they want. The only other companies that are bigger , J&J & Stryker. Your pathetic angy tantrum about MSb sucking is laughable. Get back in your Taurus - a fresh batch just came out of the oven at Krispy Kreem.

Hey dumb-dumb, when you talk about how much money you make in device sales you make the entire Medtronic industry look bad. Clearly you are new to this industry and to any type of success. Not sure if you work in a division that has direct interraction with patients but perhaps you should post as if they are all reading. Your post makes you sound like a douche-bag. you make Medtronic look bad. Go bag to Pharma where you belong.
 






If you go to work for MiniMed, the Diabetes Division make sure you like the taste of kool-aid. They used to be a phenomenol company that was once hard to get into. Got in many years ago with an MBA, which was at one time the preferred credential. Now they fish for new hires in the Pharma pool. They have not been innovative for years. Their CGMS technology is 9 years old. When we sold it years ago to practices it was underdeveloped and being pitched as the next step to a "closed loop system". A closed loop system can not be achieved utilizing interstitial fluid, period. They are not fullfilling Al Mann's vision. They have the highest turnover rate of any Medtronic company. They have a good product. But it's no longer enough to dominate in an ever expanding market. The Marketing Department is responsilble for sustaining them for the past two years. Brand recognition can only last for so long. I wouldn't be surprised if they were sold off by Medtronic in the next year or two. Maybe to JnJ?....

My customers hate Medtronic with a passion, our products are strong, but they aren't new, and there are never answers. I am trying to make a quiet exit, but couldn't have picked a shittier time to do it. Oh well-----Gotta reinvent, maintain, whatever the fuck.

P.S. I'm on my way to a patient event that is 2 hours away which will put me home after 11 tonight. WTF have I gotten myself into.
 






I got out shortly after Medtronic took over. I had so much hope for the company. The territory I built is now shit. Partly do to the reps after me, but mostly because of the company.I had to overcome a few objections that drs. had about Minimed. I got over them and built a great territory. The poor guy that has it now I hear is a good ethical rep. He can't overcome the disdain customers feel for Medtronic Diabetes. Its so sad. This company started going down the minute Medtronic realized they were oversold. Since then they've been churnin' and burnin'. I'm glad I'm gone. I do have great memories.
 






Getting home at 11PM- Hello Medtronic. That sounds very familiar.

When you guys are sitting here bitching about your jobs and how annoying they are think about one thing......be happy you aren't one of the Medtronic patients using your shitty products you push.

I'm one of them. I'm in my 20's, and my life has been ruined by chronic pain. After a successful medtronic neurostimulator trial, and months of the medtronic rep calling and harrasing me on if I was going to do the permanent implant, I gave in. I felt confident I was making the right decision based on what my rep told me.

Once I got the permanent one, and started having problems, Medtronic all but abandoned me. Magically my rep bailed, and then another. I'm on my 4th rep, and second painful revision. All the truths come out once you start having problems......"well actually it only works in 25% not 50% of patients not sure who told you that...." blah blah blah.

It would be nice if half the assholes at Medtronic actually gave a shit about the patients instead of making money. Just because you work for pharma or advanced bionics or whoever you aren't any fucking better either.
Those of you who know they are pushing OLD, obsolete products, or are unethical DO SOMETHING!!!!!! Do you want one of your kids, or mothers, or a friend using these??????????

So you morons keep on here having your pissing contest on who can spell "a lot" for another fucking week. Just hope you are never in a position to need your shitty ass products.

The brain trust or "The Management Team" doesn't. They don't even care about the folks in the field. They are moving production over seas and reducing U.S. workers so we can have a lower cost structure and quality. Watch out management is only going to cover their back side. You wouldn't believe how nervous it is here. More turnover up top is coming!

What a shit company, The management screws the pooch, so they lay off the little guy who's only crime was to do what he was told.

Need to cut all jobs Director level and up and send their jobs off to India.
We would have more responsive management, for 1/8 the cost. And I bet we would see them MORE.
