Medical specialist positions

Even with a decent base, the bonus isn't great. People just need to realize that. They can say "uncapped," but at plan it is about 30k.

How do you know? That's not what I'm hearing from the Retina specialists. I know they are a smaller sales force but I cannot imagine a biotech company thinking $30k is going to attract/retain quality talent. Why don't they scale back as there will be counterparts?

There are 4 divisions selling this. Get real. You won't see the type of money you are thinking about.

Hey whiny bastards. Why don't you do your research and reach out to the company and stop wasting time speculating.

I have you little bastard. The annual bonus compensation is 40k at plan. Very standard and average in this industry. They can't promise you anymore and the other poster was correct in that there are too many hands in the cookie jar to expect large uncapped bonuses. Simply won't happen.

Ok. Fine. Have fun creating a big pharma sales force. Don't say we didn't warn ya!

Does anyone know hire dates - medical sales opportunities? Going to be lots like the 2000's and launches in CV world.

What fun!

but seriously does anyone know hire dates for jobs?

I am making around $120k base currently in a very niche space. Its a constant grind as # of patients are very limited and other less expensive treatments exist. Would this be a good move or more of the same since # of patients not controlled on statins is very small? Target bonus is about the same.

Your call in the end, but the money will be the same. Bonus potential won't be any better than 45k. They keep saying uncapped, but truth be told there will be so many reps and so much team coordination that the bonuses wnot be like going to a startup company and you are the sole representative. They simply just don't have to pay out large benefits like others were saying.

Most are worried about their "methods" of interviewing. Expect the interview process to be extremely big pharma. This is very telling how the culture will be like. Initially, the job sounded exciting but from what has been discussed about the company culture, it's a pass. Just being honest and don't mean to make anyone angry. This will be an ok job with ok pay.

Maybe it's just me but the culture is bad almost everywhere due to layoffs/patent cliffs/lack of innovation/supply of reps greater than demand, etc. All things being equal this company has a pipeline and the job seems stable and territories are small so you will have a decent work/life balance. So doesn't it make sense to pick a stable toxic company with a strong pipeline versus and unstable company with no pipeline??

I'm sure cardiologists are no picnic to deal with but neither are oncologists. Is access with cards as bad as oncs? So, doesn't it make sense

Wondering what Process is like and Interviews? Lately hear Interviews are a flight to a remote area and decision made and offers out quickly.

That is not correct. Of course you will interview with the hiring manager and then The second interview, which involves several other people from Regeneron, is based on role playing the drug. This is the biggest component of the second interview and is required by everyone.
