Medical Sales College. Is it for Real?

I attended and graduated from MSC on 12/21/2011 from the Orthopedics Reconstruction and Trauma program. It was an incredibly fun and intense program. The instructors pushed me farther than I knew I was capable of. In the end I was confident that I would find an opportunity, it was just a matter of time. From The time I had completed the program till the moment I got my first interview I was living in my Jeep. From one city to the next contacting distributors and blasting my resume to any one and everything having to do with the industry itself. I was on my way from Houston, TX back to my home town in MI when I received a call. It was one of my instructors who had found an opportunity for me to interview with a distributor in Grand Junction, CO! I was just outside of Dallas, TX pulled over on the side of the road next to a bunch of cows when I made my first call to said distributor. They said they would love to meet me and schedule an interview and I told them I am on my way. I drove all the way through the night to get to Denver for my interview that following afternoon. Fact of the matter is I was and still am more than willing to do whatever it takes to get this position. After one interview with the distributors and a second interview with their entire team they decided to hire me. This was the most difficult an intense interview I have ever had but coupled with what I learned from MSC I walked in confidently and left my interview knowing I was going to get this job. I graduated 12/21/2011 and was hired by 1/22/2012. I want to express to any one if you’re reading this and on the verge of deciding on whether this school is worth it... TAKE THAT STEP! I am so great full for what MSC has done for me and will be an advocate for them for the rest of my life. The decision to attend The Medical Sales College was one of the best choices I made for myself. I wish you all luck and hope you’re as fortunate as I am. THANK YOU MSC!!!!!

Congrats on this phony testimonial!!!!!

Congrats on this phony testimonial!!!!!

YOU are the only phony on this board! I guess all of the testimonials are false? The names are made up? The companies are false? The jobs are false? Please find yourself a new hobby. You are like a "gamer" who is addicted to playstation. No life, wife, girlfriend. Just a chronic masturbator crying out for help and attention.

Check out the frustration and lack of professionalism of this EliteMed-Medical Sales College guy.

Please do your research. A Medical Sales College certificate can actually hurt your chances of getting a medical sales job.

I had a friend (device rep) recommend this college as entrance into this industry. This is my first time researching this company. After reading for an hour or so, I find a need to respond. Is this guy serious?

“Please do your research”…

The only information is this scumbag incessant posting. I have never seen such a desperate act of anonymous blogging. Do you think for a second that anyone believes you have no motive? Your comments have become absolutely ridiculous! It is a known fact that several people regardless if that number is 400 or 1000 have benefited from this program. You can find them everywhere.

Seek help!

So now it's 1000 placed. These EliteMed-MSC people can't even keep their story straight. Let me guess, we will soon see another testimonial from a "student" who interviewed with several companies and accepted a position... all before even graduating from MSC. Oh, and followed, of course, with a congrats!!!!!

I've read a little bit on this thread, and I'll make a few comments. Don't waste money on these ridiculous certificate granting programs that are not accredited. Go get a masters degree in a field that offers both job security & good earning potential. Several of these careers are listed under the jobs after pharma thread.

I was going to sign up also. I have 12 years of B2B experience and was questioning the intent of the recriuter from Elite Med when I was told that I would increase my chances of being hired by 2250% if I completed the training. Thanks for the info!!

They tried to convince me to take their course, even though I already have almost 5 years medical sales experience. When I sent them my resume, I really thought I was applying for a position. They way they tried to get me, I feel is wrong.

You have 12 years of B2B yet you can't land a medical device job? Good luck trying to get in.

Their website boasts "MSC graduates are 2250% more likely to obtain a medical sales position than those that merely submit a resume*"

Now how in the world did they arrive at 2500%? There is no way to figure this out.

Also, even if they just said 100%, then doesn't that already falsely imply that one would get a medical sales job by graduating from MSC?

We know they have placed at least 400 people! I would assume the chance is actually higher than the 2250%!

Perfect example is the guy with 12 years of B2B! No doubt this is the hardest industry to enter. Just my thoughts...

So now it's higher than 2250%? These Elite-MSC people love making up statistics.

Here's a question:
Elite recruiters are essentially sales people who earn under $50,000 per year. So why don't they all just get an MSC certificate and become medical sales reps?

What do you mean "they." Classic Elite/MSC posting as if an unaffiliated person. Still think MSC is legit?
