MDT Diabetes

Medtronic not attracting talent like they used to. Good talent has already left, looking to leave, and for those still here, miserable. Outdated products and people. Medtronic, taking the tech out of med tech.

Stock price recently is accurately reflecting the state of our business. Riding this bad boy down into the ground.

They say 780 and G4 will win back all from competition because of the clinical data. I feel like that is an extremely false statement. Managers are scared and just riding it out. Comically the DMs that scolded the TMs are now hiding in the dirt. Any word on layoffs, performance management or division being sold?

They should lay your sorry ass off. You must really suck if you can’t sell 780/G4

Every time a new system is expected leadership predicts this is going to be the product that wins back the customers. Each time the product is an epic fail that is too hard to use while competitors produce easier to use devices. This time will be no different.

Always good clinical devices. But, competitors deliver what the customer expects and makes it simpler to use. Not pursuing Medicare coverage years ago for CGM was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.

Medtronic diabetes is done. All the good reps that delivered high volume new pump sales have left the company.

Martha flagged shedding low performing businesses.... but he has put himself in a no win positiion by saying "its just around the corner". Everyone eventually says "i wish i would have dealt with it earlier"....

He doesn't shed low performing business leaders so why expect he will shed entire businesses?

They’ll wait to see if 780G and G4 will gain market share which I don’t think it will. Then they’ll say our next system will overtake competition. It’s the same thing over and over. Just sell the division already.
