Lilly Oncology "Re-Deployment"

True Dat! FACT

This stuff couldn't be more true, if it was so much more difficult and a special skill set was required to be in Oncology, we would pay the sales force much more.

Lilly Oncology, like other Oncology Rep's are the same turds walking around selling the same garbage as anyone else. But in the case of Lilly, making much less.

Demand Realization dosen't see Lilly Oncology as a big cost burden, let me assure you. But too many Rep's nonetheless.

Oncology Doc's have little respect for Lilly: FACT (CVM).

Lilly has little respect for our Oncology Rep's: FACT (salary structure/bonus structure)

The above poster was wrong about one comment, Oncology is actually now 5th highest paid field reps now since the Amyvid sales force is now 3rd/CS 4th. Talk to your demand realization pals if you ? it, however only 17 Rep's at this time.

The Oncology target bonus IS very close to every other sales force, including PCP/Tier 1: FACT.

Word of advice: If you are a grand wizard of Oncology Sales, ready to be compassionate and understanding and have all of this amazing knowledge - you probably should be working for another another company. FACT.

haha best post on here in a while...all very true!

Brilliant post! I love the truth and transparency!!

I hope you think it's true.

If you don't "think" it's true, it is because you are not looking at the salary range and IC target bonus information that is available to all Lilly employees.

Best friend got "promoted" to Oncology last year and got no pay raise, works a ton more, and with the weak CVM payout will make less than nearly our entire PCP district.

I'll take the extra $, time, and laugh at all the God-Like comments... I feel like I am watching Malice and these turd Oncology Rep's at Lilly are playing Alec Baldwin.

Oh, I forgot, we don't have ipads. Maybe Lilly Oncology is the play. LMFAO.

Former Lilly Oncology, LHG, now CAS Exec Rep here.

Right, because our drugs save people's lives right??? Giving SOME people some extra days/weeks/months is far from SAVING a life. Many people that take our Onco drugs experience no extra time on earth whatsoever.

These posts are dead on, if you want to work in Oncology, Lilly is very honestly not the place to be. You are paid very much like any other Rep in this company, and it is not worth it.

I have 5 Hospital's now and work 1/3 the time, same IC target, and get much more attention from Recruiters with Hospital in my title rather than a narrow, suspect division at a Dinasour company that refuses to properly respect the disease state.

LMAO!!! Besides those pushing Cialis, you can argue that nearly everyone in our company is potentially saving lives vs. extending life a very finite amt. of time.

That is classic, YOU are believing your own press my friend. Anytime you want to compare checks, I challenge you to find a Lilly bretheren to do so.

And next time an Oncology opening goes months before being filled, to ultimately be filled by a "lowly" PC rep (which you and we all happend to be once mind you) who gets no salary bump and with your division's inept CVM score makes less money, remember this thread before you start beating your chest.

Everyone in this company and industry knows Lilly Oncology is a joke.

This is CLASSIC, very nice with the Baldwin reference. I think Cialis might save more lives than our Oncology products!!! LOL, Lilly Oncology = PCP respect within this company and industry.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Yes Big Dawg Lilly Oncology Rep, you are saving lives every day.

It would be easy to argue that nearly all of our sales forces sell products that save lives every day ACCEPT Oncology.

My girlfriend moved into Lilly Oncology 8 months ago and makes less money, and couldn't be more dissatisfied with her day to day business life. Regrets it each day she powers up her IPAD.

This is the best comment in this thread-LOL!

What drug did you sell in Lilly Oncology that "saved" a life today?

Maybe that is why these Oncology openings stay vacant for months, only to have "lowly" PCP rep's finally decide to take them, then regret it once they realize they get no salary increase and have to suffer the same fate as you have with the only $0 CVM payout in the U.S. affiliate.

Keep saving lives out there.

What would any Lilly employee be jealous of when it comes to Lilly Oncology?

The word Oncology perhaps?

You can't cash that word in at the local bank to my knowedge, and the only one patting Lilly Oncology on the back seems to be themselves. Except for the $0 CVM payout I am sure, but that was probably some of the other Lilly sales forces fault wasn't it?

Or Do Oncologists just think as low of Lilly Oncology as our company does with the weak compensation pkg?

Oncology at Lilly, no thanks.

Hey Dumbass...

You can't deny that working in a specialty such as oncology doesn't make you more marketable within this industry. Specialty pharma (especially oncology) have always been sought after positions that typically attract top talent.

I believe this is generally not the case at Lilly as the oncology ranks have been severely watered down by circus act primary care reps.

It's too bad when the directive is given that internal hiring must take precedence over looking outside Lilly to other companies for talent, but that is what has happened at Lilly.

Keep dreaming primary care rep - you are pathetically jealous - but keep trying...

Oh great. We thought we finally got rid of you on this board. Can you please educate yourself and read some of the previous posts. Do you even realize that you are attempting to defend yourself by attacking your peers in your OWN division who are speaking with facts and accurate information that can't be disputed? Wow- you have a major complex and want us a to be impressed that you are in a, "specialty" division. Well you fool, I'm one of those other reps that are in the "higher" pay grade because the company WE work for seems to value my role in a different lens. Such a shame, 10+ years ago when I started, Lilly's Oncology was where we all dreamed of going. I would work for PDI before taking that assignment. You and your attack on PC reps... Again, I bet they could build better relationships and competitively out sell you any day.

Perhaps a few of these long tenured Lilly Oncology sales reps (yes, I said sales reps) can get some old Zyprexa samples from some of the more recent PC transfers. It is clearly evident that considerable delusional thinking exists within that group.

:) You are so pathetic and frustrated here on this website which is not yours by the way. You can't help yourself as you waste your time responding to my rants. I think you are funny. I am smiling.

By the way, I've been around a lot longer than you (ewww 10+ years!) and I'm very certain you don't make more $ than me. You are correct that Lilly Oncology used to be more sought after...until they dumbed down the promoted positions with people like you and promoted others into "specialty" divisions like oncology.

I know what I am talking about...as I have witnessed new oncology in house promotions who have acted so stupidly at meetings - doing stupid skits like I'm sure you've done.

Please stay away from the oncology community with your Halloween costume. You are making everyone else look bad.

There is real work to be done and lives are at stake.

How's your blood pressure? ;)

Zyprexa makes my ankles swell...

Where's the doughnuts?

You may want to check and see if we are still allowing patients into out mGlu clinical trials. You meet all the criteria for inclusion into this study. It's obvious that your current meds aren't working. I hope you are either real close to your 80 points or you are first on the list for reallocated employees. I'm sure your own teammates would love to see you leave! I bet you're a real charmer at the meetings! Reigning peer award winner right!!?? Sounds like they surveyed ALL your customers for the current CVM scores! You are such a fool and I don't see anyone jumping to your defense.
