Lilly Oncology "Re-Deployment"

Our Oncology is the laugh of the industry. Get off your soap box. If you have recruiters calling you "daily" you should take a stab at the opportunity. Lilly doesn't pay that much that you need a severance package. You've posted on here before and you sound like a fool.

I never said recruiters are calling me "daily", loser. I said I hear frequently from them. I am waiting for the right opportunity and I will leave when I want to. If the timing is right, I might leave with a severance.

I've been around long enough to know that Lilly may be preparing to make a very shortsighted decision to let people go. There are mature pipeline products that will get approval within 2 years.

I'm entitled to my opinion...and have insight that you uptight and sad primary care reps don't have.

It is funny to feel the animosity and jealousy in your responses.

Calm down primary care reps.

Why don't you do us all a favor... Take the severance now and stop posting on this board. Their is a constant theme here. It's you not the rest of us. And why do you think we are all primary care reps... I for one am not, however I'd take a PCP rep on my team any day over you.

You keep reading and I'll keep posting.

Or better yet, start your own PC post and stay out of my specialty.

This isn't for you anyway - it's for the decision makers, which you clearly are not.

Hello. We are the decision makers. Didn't you hear the news... We don't care what you have to say. Your opinions means nothing to us. We have already decided what changes need to be made and will be moving forward- starting with the mad poster who feels he/ she is not replaceable.

Yes, yes, during one of our "global thought leader" meetings at an undisclosed location, someone brought up the topic of self-esteem and it's relationship to obesity and sloth company wide. See, you just never know, we might just be toying with you to test our ideas. Billions of dollars are at stake, every year. If you have to wince with pain occasionally, we have something much bigger to consider, ends justify the means. Just sayin!

The funniest part of all this talk about how great oncology is, is that their are MANY PCP Rep's at lilly making a sh_t ton of money more than these great oncology rep's. Nearly all CAS Reps, and I'll bet half the CS Rep's too (glorified PC).

Go to a biotech company and get 10-15K more, than get cut like most of my friends that went biotech, with a resume of 4-5 companies over the past 5-6 years. We'll see how companies outside this godforsaken industry treat you special oncology rep's then.

The bottom line is that anyone can be an oncology rep at any company, Lilly or otherwise. It is ridiculous to believe Oncologists are any more important or difficult to call on. And even more ridiculous to believe Oncology Rep's are any better in any regard than anyone else slinging anything at lilly or anywhere else.

I have friends making a ton of money outside of this weak industry, even if oncology rep's are making 10-20K more than "lowly" pcp reps, it really means nothing. Go sell industrial equity, or get a Mgmt job outside this industry and you can double or triple your income. The pcp rep's probably have it best btw, as they work 2-3 hrs per day and have postage stamp territories vs. these great oncology rep's. Look at the bonus too... Oncology rep's make a few thousand (6-8K) more than pcp on avg., wow what a difference.

What a joke with the oncology god like complex, you turds are no different than anyone else in this jacked up, low paying industry. Go get a job making 300-500K and then come back with the god like complex.

Lilly is not going to get rid of you Oncology Rep's, your not making much money... The pcp rep taking your place might make more than YOU!

I have not been in pcp for some yrs, but really, what is the diff? Doc's dont want to see you just the same as they don't want to see any of us. You get a handful of them to like you and your products, and you "win" at this "smart" company. Same old same old, get over yourself and realize you are making little money, because you too barely work (maybe drive a little more). If you leave for precious biotech, you will go through periods of no money at all as you move from company to company and end up making less on avg than pcp reps, so either be happy with your job and shut up with the supremacy, or put your big boy pants on and leave the industry to make some real money Yo!

You're dumb. I bet you've been in Pharma for less than 5 years and you're not making more than $50K...

You go to biotech, or better yet, go work for one of your "buddies" outside pharma.

You couldn't make it in oncology. Duh...features / benefits...duh. Want some samples?

By the way, how are our illustrious brothers and sisters in Lilly Oncology doing in hitting their sales targets this year?

Why don't you get your facts straight noob.

In spite of all the generic pressure, biomarkers, payor pressure, pathways, etc...Alimta sales are right on target so far this year.

You might want to wipe that egg off your face...noob.

Again- refresh all our memories... What were the CVM scores??? And WHY do you need a transformation team? Please be a bit more honest before lashing out.

LOL, we all know the IC target $, and the salary ranges (field portal). All the onco snobery when most are making well below many PCP rep's (since Lilly has so many that have been aroud 4-ever).

It's the same BS no matter what division or what you are selling, I couldn't agree more with the long winded poster. BTW, Lilly dosen't even hire fresh Coll Grads for less than 57K now, so I'll bet he/she is making more than that big shot onco Rep.

It should be no surprise that the highest paid Field Rep's on avg. at Lilly are #1) CAS, #2) Psych (how many of these guys have been around for 15 yrs or more??), #3) CS (again old neuro AB Rep's making tall $), #4) Oncology. Ask anyone in Six Sigma "Demand Realization", our Onco Rep's are not even Top 3 at lilly and they have this pompus arrogance. Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha, Onco Rep's at Lilly get treated very similar to PCP Rep's when it comes to avg. compensation, and do have enormous territories.

Many Lilly Onco Rep's have come in making very low $, it is a fact. No salary bump for anyone internal either...

Lilly pays descent bases across the board, but this industry does not compare to many out there.

Oncology Doc's have little respect for Lilly: FACT (CVM).

Lilly has little respect for our Oncology Rep's: FACT (salary structure/bonus structure)

The above poster was wrong about one comment, Oncology is actually now 5th highest paid field reps now since the Amyvid sales force is now 3rd/CS 4th. Talk to your demand realization pals if you ? it, however only 17 Rep's at this time.

The Oncology target bonus IS very close to every other sales force, including PCP/Tier 1: FACT.

Word of advice: If you are a grand wizard of Oncology Sales, ready to be compassionate and understanding and have all of this amazing knowledge - you probably should be working for another another company. FACT.
