Layoffs?

Do you mean in the lab or management? I know that temps were let go when this crisis first hit. Majority of us are hours have been cut. I wonder will they actually fire/cut employees if they number stay low even though TN is about to open up and get people back to work because of the lack of funds. This company is definitely shady.....

I thought pathgroup was doing corona virus testing? Did that fall through?
People in billing, not the lab. I don't know about the corona virus testing.

Who cares about the sales people? We have a lab that's running 30% of normal volume! Theyr'e going to let go of a bunch of people soon. They'd be crazy to try to ride this wave.

True, the volume has been way down! I take it you aren’t working in sales? Have these cuts/people being let go already approved?

So if people are going to be layed off is this a direct result of the crisis or Pathgroup being greedy in keeping more money for themselves?
Both but mostly greed. We owe a ton of money to the private equity group and we don't have the ability to pay it. Our executives have continued to take they're pay and bonuses until just recently. They have not planned for anything and just assumed the PEs would just add more money to the fire.

Before they cut hours we were told that management would be taking a pay cut and that any raises were on hold. If these cuts are to happen I take it would be soon because of this money situation?

Yes upper management did take pay cuts...but think about it, they take a 10-20% cut but we all get our hours cut and now they have a reason to let people go when all of this is over. This is a great excuse to cut employees and those that are not cut should "be happy to have a job still" so we'll take on more work. I'm sure management will get an end of the year bonus to help with some of their losses.

I have no doubt that this will happen with all the shady behavior they do. Suprisingly enough I have notice some left/quit before the crisis. Don’t blink or you will miss people that are gone
