When does this happen? They said before National Meeting? Is there a date set yet?
looking at the emails from MS and then CK I would say they are going to cut drastically. They said we are going to have a highly specialized team. I would assume with that they mean only calling on specialists. If this is the case I think we could safely say that they may combine multiple territories so that the rep would have 60-85 targets made up of Allergists and Pulms. If this is the case its going to be a blood bath!!
I agree, I think the way this is being done, fast and furious, and with the emails we have seen, it points to a drastic changes and cuts. I don't think most people are prepared for what we are in for. There are going to be some major changes.
Truly unfortunate. Industry veterans will tell you that the bad decisions of leadership and/or marketing are always paid for by the sales force. We have just done our jobs with what we were given and we are the ones that are sacrificed. Most maddening thing about this is that Teva Pain, who has had no real product portfolio for a year, has been given every consideration and opportunity. We are given 4 weeks. I think Teva is pivoting away from TR in a major way. Something has happened in corporate, perhaps overseas, that we will never be aware of. Everything I've heard points to a cut somewhere between 25%-60% in TR. I've heard the number 175 a couple of times. Some think that is the target number for remaining TR reps. Others say it is the target number for reductions. Worst rumor I have heard is that severance will be only 2 weeks pay, which is insulting and far below the industry norm. Most vulnerable seems to be partnered territories and low volume territories. Why did we have a large training class recently? How are going to have a meeting the week after? How could we possibly have an awards dinner? This whole thing is fishy and seems like a bad dream.
2 week severance? What a slap in the face to the sales force. I understand this is a rumor at this point but if that were to happen, that is disgusting.
I feel the same way... how can we have a meeting the next week? An awards dinner that may have half the people who were here this year. This is a bad dream.
2 weeks per year of tenure and most newbies get 12 weeks or more just being here for less than a year.
Agreed. Teva wants you to sign a release to insulate them from being sued. Reps would laugh at 2 weeks severance and head straight to their lawyer. They will dangle a little bigger carrot (12 weeks) knowing we will take it, sign the release, and go away. SOP.
We now know why Teva went from vacation time to PTO. So they don't have to pay for the accrued vacation time of those who are laid off.
Will they have to pay out our PTO days to us if we are laid off? In addition to severance?
WH rep told me 3 months severance for less than 5 years and 2 weeks per year for over 5 years.
