LabCorp in Connecticut: A warning on CT and anyone considering a sales job!

Heard Surfer Boy (CK) is taking over the role.

Why would he? He has a GREAT gig going as it is. He puts his name on every large account which any of us open in NY, for which he gets paid bonus and commission $$$. Why would he take the Regional Mgt. position, a move that would force him to spend much more time actually working. If and when his gig drys up, his next move will be out of LC.

Are you implying that CK did not actually earn his trip to Gem Club and that he lives off the fat of others?

What would BC do if he leaves? Work? who would cut the grass?

Jane does have plenty of time on her hands these days. Come to think of it, so do BC and CK. You need a crow bar to get BC out of his house, and CK's at the pool or on the golf course. If you really think about it, we never actually see these guys, now do we???

The part about about BC and CK is SOOO true!

Never see them....only here them on the occasional conf call begging for business. They must be feeling the pressure from Garvey. Do they really think the info provided to them on those spread sheets is legit? Come on its all made up. Where is Tina T. when you need her? We need another managed care deal like healthfirst. Ha Ha Ha Ha ---nice job w that one.

TT is the ultimate insult to our company. She knows absolutely nothing, is never able to answer a question directly, and was a COMPLETE FAILURE as a Sales Mgr. Gee, what did they expect when they put this disaster into MC? Yet, she actually points fingers at sales for not doing our job correctly. Without a shadow of a doubt, TT is the biggest train-wreck within LabCorp, and that is really saying something!

Former sales rep here in CT with a warning to anyone thinking about taking a job in CT or, actually, anywhere else with this joke of a company.

I reactively accepted a role in this loser sector of the healthcare industry. I had just recently been a victim a large corporate downsizing with a surgical device manufaturer, a bit depressed as a result, and reactively accepted the role of the SME in CT after blowing the regional (Bill Crawford) and district (Jane Alix) managers away in a 45 minute interview. It should have been clear to me the next day after this interview when I quickly received an offer that this company had never seen talent and experience like I have for a shit job like this ever in their careers, but the recruiter I was working with sold me a bag of shit on this company telling me that it paid $120k at plan with a car. Well, it became clear to me after doing a couple of field days with the current lackluster reps in CT that are killing their careers with this company, that $120 or for that matter $100k was not close to achieveable.

What's more disgusting is I had to drop nearly $40 bucks on a shitty lunch for some babe in the district that was going out on maternity leave. What was both eye opening and laughable was how good the reps and DM here thought they were. They actually would belittle pharma reps in my presence and pump their chests that they were "lab reps". News flash: none of you could carry the bag of a pharma rep. They would smoke you so bad in front of a doctor in both presentation skills, professionalism and just about every other important characteristic that makes a a good sales rep that it is humorous to me. If I were any of you, I would aspire to be a pharama rep, becasue you are destined for a career of collecting blood, piss and shit if you stay here for too long!! I spent 5 days in the field with a variety of SMEs and KAEs and not one of them spoke to a doctor in their territory. Thankfully, I spent a day in my territory with one of the "senior" SMEs, the only thing senior about him is that he doesn't have the foresight or talent to get himself out of this joke of the industry. However, while in my terrtiry, I was able to drag him into speak with an OBGYN. Thank God, I couldn't take speaking with another retarded lab person in the office or some fool office manager.

Oh, and let's talk about those conversations in the offices. They hate LabCorp, and you will never establish this company's service in CT, because you are so totally fucking disorganized they have lost patience with you already. This fool of a DM, thinks she is just going to snap her fingers come this October, when by the way, her non-compete from Quest expires and she can actually go into offices, and all of these offices are going to fall at her feet to use LabCorp. Honey, it's time to lay of the Xanax because it isn't going to happen. You should have stayed at Quest.....poor career move!

Well, let's wrap it up, I start with a real company tomorrow, another surgical device company, where not only is $120 realistic, but $170k at plan is anticipated, not the crap I was sold at LoserCorp. Bottom line, I was here 1 month and the IT department still couldn't get the Blackberry they gave me to work. Never gave directions on how to get into the company's voicemail system to activate it, spent 2 weeks getting an email account up and running and decided not to train me on any of their products or services, but expected me to make an impact in the field. Hmmm, can see how that training strategy has been sucessful!!

For any prospective candidate thinking about this company, if the above tirade isn't enough for you to run far away from this comany fast, then you are probably the perfect candidate to join LoserCorp--a brainless knucklehead who has no aspirations to further his/her career in medical sales. Do yourself a favor, either go to or stay in pharma. THIS IS NOT A POSITIVE CAREER MOVE FOR A PRIMARY CARE PHARMA REP OR GOD FORBID, SPECIALTY PHARMA REP. As for me, yes, this was a foolish move, but I saw dollar signs and a paycheck instead of collecting. I knew I would be out within a year. I didn't realize it would be within a month and LoserCorp will obviously never don my resume!

This is still the most accurate, and perfect description of LCA I have ever seen. An absolute classic! The author of this post deserves the Pulitzer Prize! LOL..........

Has Jane Axes non compete expired yet? She closed the exact same amount of business as BC and CK - Zippo! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha........

Re: LabCorp Drug Testing Results

I have even a more serious complaint with this lab. I am a patient of a doctor for chronic pain and nasty panic attacks.

It cost me $240 cash to have a drug test to prove to my doctor I AM taking both my pain and nerve meds. It's true, the UNINSURED people are the ones paying the price, we get charged the FULL RATE, medical insurance will negotiate a much lower price (I tried and they laughed at me!!) Well people, I hate too tell you this, but my results were NOT accurate and it may very well cost me my sanity and even my job if I have no meds during a work related panic attack I will be unable to work and likely will end up in the hospital, still with no medical insurance. I did everything I was supposed to to as told and directed.

The medication not detected was Klonopin (Clonazepam)- I have needed and taken this medication along with my pain killers for years, and now my life is much better and I can once again work for a living. Because of this screwed up test result my life now is in the hands of LabCorp and my doctor. - Most likely I will end up in a hospital if my doctor cuts me off. I’m in shock over this. I’m innocent. I can not understand what the problem is with the lab not detecting this particular nerve/panic med, but I have read that it’s happening to others too.

I have found much evidence that shows how the most expensive drug testing labs can go by NOT detecting Klonopin (Clonazepam)in patients that take it- and you can bet I have submitted all of such information to my doctor. This is my life as I know whats at stake here, (A LOT!!) and for $240 one would think a lab could find a med I was taking every single day for years, and even on the day of the drug test.

I had to pay CASH $$ for my drug test, so I hate their rates AND their screwed up lab work. My life as I know it is in the hands of a bunch of people that can screw up my life for a very long time. I suggest NOBODY uses this drug testing company.

Now I have to worry about real life nightmares hitting me while I drive, all because of a drug test that was wrong and a doctor that places too much faith in such tests. I’m not very happy, and I’m broke. I did nothing wrong and I fear there must be many others just like me in the same boat. Doctors should not place so much faith in these drug tests- they can be WRONG!

Hire a lawyer. I am sure their are plenty that would take your case. Possibly join in on another suit. Go to Lab Corp sucks.com and look at all the unhappy customers. I feel bad for what you had to experience, this is why I no longer work for this company. Very difficult to hear this same story over and over. I refuse to use LC and I worked for them. As an employee of LC we received our test at no cost, I still did not use them. I went to Quest for lab test and filed the paper work myself with LC insurance. Sad but true.

Why are you posting this here?

Those of us at Labcorp do not care.
This board is for Labcorp employees. Don't post this kind of garbage here.

We don't care about you

I posted a thread and just got pulled, thought I would try again. I would look for a good lawyer and find out if you have a case. I fell sorry for you. I worked for lab corp and would not even use the lab services that were provided free. I hope everything works out for you, this is exactly why I left lab corp.

Talk to a lawyer, but you might try a different doctor, drug screens are not that expensive. He is probably paying 15 to 35 dollars for his drug screens, then pocketing the rest.He has the ability to negotiate the price for his practice. Those pain clinics are a boom for us, all cash money. Try to find a physician who cares for his or her patients more than his, her dollar. I know thats difficult but they're out there. Usually they are the older ones who are closer to meeting their maker. Best of luck and chin up!
