LabCorp in Connecticut: A warning on CT and anyone considering a sales job!

I agree 100% that this company is a joke. Most people I have dealt with seem to have their heads stuck so far up their own ass, that they have no clue what is happening around them. I have a question for the original poster? What was the base salary you were given? I too was fed a line of crap about $120K. What was your Base Salary?

Original salary was 65K....not a chance another 55K was ever going to be seen in bonus from this joke of a company.

Loser's bashing LabCorp or any other lab....

I made over $300K in one year with LabCorp and always made over $200K selling lab services with LabCorp. It's a tough business but if you can sell and overcome the bullshit, you can be very successful.

I'm now a EVP and LabCorp made me into the successful business person I am today. LabCorp's not such a bad place and neither is Quest. You just have to see through the bullshit and create your own opportunities...

How can anyone sell and KEEP that kind of business with the pathetic support in the lab.

You need to demonstrate to the GM the amount of business that will be lost in writing (Excel analysis) if you're Sales Manager cannot get the job done. Quite often, the Sales Mgr is weak and you need the GM to step in or else it will affect THEIR bottom line. They don't care about your commissions, just their profits.

Loser, you might was well have just stated your name, MR EVP.

How do you differentiate yourself from the salesman on the street who does not care about their clients? In the end you are selling a service that makes a life or death decision for someone. This service and quality is poor, almost like cheap meth. Why don't you go on down to the real streets and sell real crap. The users all die in the end, but what do you care? You'll have your McMansion(s), sport cars, yacht, etc.

Well spoken. I've worked for LCA and it's a good company. You hit it on the head "see through the bullshit and create your own opportunities" Isn't that true for any company!

Jane Alex had a no compete clause from Quest that was in affect till October 2007. What Lab corp did not realize is she was a good interviewer "STOP". you can hide behind the cloak of a no compete clause till the clause is over. But then it will become totally clear that the same person that was held back by a no compete clause truly has to skills to even compete with.

Jane A. is a very hard working and very good manager. She was left to twist in the wind along with the entire state of Ct, when Raritan decided not to support them. She was a very successful manager at Quest for many years, and will be again. Guaranteed! NE Mgt should be totally ashamed of how they handled the entire state of Ct.

BC and JG should be ashamed, if either only had a conscience. BC heavily recruited "begged" JA to leave Quest and join "his team". After she was on board, they pulled the rug out from under her. Typical Labcrap BS. Don't worry, Labcrap will get their wish and eventually have zero samples from the Nutmeg State. FYI - One of the the top Sales Reps (AK) resigned last week! They are now down to only 2 reps! FS is the next to say bye-bye.
NYC has already began their mass exodus, and Ct is next.
