Because not everyone on this board is US based, or has a US salary, or is field based. And working until official retirement age 67 is what is required to benefit from a full pension in most countries. Early retirement is possible but highly unlikely before age 60-62.
there is a world beyond the East and West Coast.

The person who said no sure why people are still working over 50 is a flakey woman who has been a slacker her whole career, with a husband who makes big bucks to provide her a pleasant upper midfle class and comfortable life. We should all strive to share our experiences of Galderma so we can caution future folks that dont fall for this trap. Dont fall for comments that are trying to gaslight the conversation. this place will use and abuse you and throw you out. never seen so much turnover at any company of this size. this is worse than a start up. we should all post our experiences on glassdoor and google since most people check there before they join a company. Karma will come for Flemming - he will definitely contract an irreversible disease and will live his last days in misery. as for his lietenants that do his shit bidding, your fate will likely be the same or worse.
