Just received my discrimination reward letter

Now I have heard it all.... some ugly broad who is celebrating the fact that she was just awarded a sum from a discrimanation suit is talking about a dude's pecker size. Ohhh I am just drowning in irony.

The company is giving us the money, and cafe pharma is the best place to talk about it......call me a leech, call me whatever you want......MY wife is getting some new CASH, and we are going to SPEND it on US!!!!! And have some good fun!!!

Life sucks sometimes, and this time it doesn't!! Enjoy!

Good for you! All the money that women received, even if it was "backpay" and nothing actually happened to them, is for the suffering that other women did go through! Enjoy every penny of it! I hope you and your wife have fun!!!
 






MAY GOD BLESS THE PLANTIFF'S & DEPONENTS WHO STOOD UP FOR US....... .. YOU ARE ALL HERO'S. As you see there are so many Women who suffered at NPC & many of us who still are. Let's hope & believe that your mark in history helps to ensure a better work place for our daughters where Overtures, Discrimination, Sexism & RAPE is not tolerated. I live in KY and got my check today. Not as much as I had hoped for but better than nothing! Thank you to all of you ladies who put yourself out there for us. Good luck to you all
 






Just got my check. After the hell I went through I wish it had been more but I'm grateful to the women who took this company to court so a little justice could be served. I do wish the men that caused all the harm had to dig ditches in some hot sweaty mosquito infested place for a few years to pay the money back. THAT would be justice and more fulfilling than any amount of money.
 










































Checks arrived for the majority of us in NJ today. The checks were all sent via regular mail on 5/23/11 from Rust Consulting in MN. It is not a letter. It is a check. It covers Backpay which they withheld all applicable taxes from and it covers Compensatory Pay(Medical). Compensatory is not taxed and you should not have to pay taxes on in the future.

There is no explanation of how they arrived at the figure for Compensatory damages. Other posts made it seem like it was a real letter. It's not...but the check is soooo nice. Good luck to all and keep your eye on your mail delivery!! It's a regular, thin, white envelope with a clear window that says Novartis Settlement Administration. Could get easily tossed in the junkmail pile if not careful..

I think you may be wrong about paying taxes on compensatory. If you look closely at the check there are W2 and 1099 attached. The 1099 is for the compensatory and this will have to be added to your tax returns as income. Sorry to tell you this just take some money out and put it aside

Husband is an attorney; compensatory damages are not taxable. I got 42k net, thanks to his help writing my letter.
