Page 41-44 describes the 3 payout categories (Backpay, Compensatory, and those with MD involvement) and how payouts will be determined.

Read pages 41-44 and it is clear. Set amount per month for backpay. Set amount per month for compensatory damages. ADDITIONAL, individually-determined compensatory damages if case included medical records/letters.

Sorry. Hopefully, if you click on the link below, you can read pages 41-44.

No problem. Figure approx. $220 per month for the backpay portion and $150 per month for the compensatory portion, if you submitted that paperwork. Multiply this $220 or $370 by the number of months you were employed by Novartis between July 2002 and July 2010. Additionally, if you attached MD records/letters to your compensatory filing, you will also be granted an amount deemed appropriate for your individual case.

Did it come via certified mail that you had to sign for, or just regular first class mail? Thanks for sharing the information.

Letters are sent via USPS regular First Class Mail. No signature is necessary so no need to wait by the mailbox. Although I know what it feels like checking the mail each day waiting for that magical envelope to arrive. I hope that your experience opening that envelope was as wonderful as mine was.

It does not make any sense at all that compensatory damages would be paid at a set amount - $150 per month worked at NVS - everyone will have a variety of incidences reported - would the person that gave 1 example of wrongdoing vs. 10 examples get the same amount? I would hope not....

This is a class settlement...I think you either qualify or don't qualify. It doesn't matter if you had 10 acts or 1 act of wrong doing. However, if you sought medical and filled out that rider, then they will take those cases individually.

YES!!!! Got my check today!!!!! $9,200 (gross for both backpay and compensatory)!!!! I knew it wasn't going to be a lot because I wasn't at Novartis for too long and I didn't seek medical attention, but.... I feel so VALIDATED!!!! Since our individual letters are confidential, I sure hope that the amount of women who qualified for compensatory damages will have an impact on the leaders at Novartis.

Thank you to the women who were brave enough to stand up in the Velez trial! Thank you! You have impacted my life greatly!

Thank you Velez et all!

Back pay 13,628.92 and compensatory 18,389.78!!!
Total award 32,018.30!!! Will be 1099d at taxtime for compensatory and back pay has taxes already withdrawn on the W2 so my check is for 27,023.16. Am definitely taking my psych out to dinner for the medical declaration. The letter I attached to the medical declaration describing how I was denied promotions paid off!

This will pay a lot toward law school tuition! Ladies take whatever amount you receive and invest the money in yourself! Now I can get the hell out of pharma!! Yahoo!

Entire settlement period....$12,672 gross, $8788 net. No riders, only backpay. Surprised it wasn't more.

Others??[/QUOTE

Were you there the whole time? I too was surprised mine wasn't more. There the whole time: $19,000 gross, $12,200 net. Filed for compensatory but didn't receive any additional money.

Yes. Here the entire time. Still am. Odd I didnt get same amount as you. Was not a rep the whole time; held other positions.

No, Rust Consulting, an independent 3rd party validated what happened to me! I wish it didn't happen at all and the money is not really all that, but the validation is worth a million! Sometimes, it's just good to be heard and have someone understand you!!!

Pay no attention to the craybaby boy who keeps posting on this thread. Obviously he got canned in the layoff, does not have another job, and can do nothing but be jealous. I got my award--backpay, no compensatory. I made 16,259.28 net, taxes taken out @ 25%. My male partners who are working and honorable are happy for all of us, they aren't sorry about the size of their peckers.
