Have you been living under a rock? Trump is rewriting the rules of politics. He's already survived things that would be fatal to other politicians. Examples are his remarks about McCain as a pow and the grab them by the ------ remark.
Before Trump, under the old political rules, yes, a 33-38 % approval rating would be a sign of almost certain failure. But not Trump! He also won't be running against some perfect opponent. Who are the Dems going to run? Older, uglier and more busted Crooked Hillary? Crazy Uncle Joe, the walking gaff machine? The ancient socialist the Bernbot? Who? You tell me?
Finally the economy is the key determinant of presidential reelection and the economy is already booming and will almost certainly continue to boom. Trump's base ie smart people (that doesn't include you) are quite pleased with his performance and will be very loyal to him. He starts with a rock solid base and doesn't have to sway that many voters to win again.
Trump is almost certainly a two-term president. Get used to the idea!
You are spot on. Trump is not PC by any means and there are alot of Americans who are fed up with PC so he can get away with saying what a ton of people are thinking. When he makes these tweets calling people out, I think it is actually good because it exposes those garbage people he goes after. Trump is not the problem. The Washington establishment is the problem. Naysayers will say that he hasn't passed a single piece of legislation. Maybe that's correct, but Congress has to give him something to sign and they can't seem to get it together enough to give him anything. McCain=Garbage. Corker=Garbage. Flake=Garbage. Hillary=Garbage. NFL players who kneel=Garbage. I could go on and on.
