Relentless harrassment. Asking me where, when, with who, why. How the hell can I remember? It is all a tactic to get me to say, ok Im done. I quit. Not gonna happen......

Here's what you do...divert their attention. Tell them about my former coworker who brought his wife and child to a tropical island territory of the United States where they speak mostly Spanish at the end of March during a brutal Chicago winter and told everyone it was a "business" trip he just had to go on. Amazingly the trip was planned months in advance. But it was business trip, really it was...he got so much accomplished.

Agree. There is a resident twit who posts stupid stuff here to amuse his childish IQ. I'd attribute this to him. Global doesn't 'harass' unless they've got you dead to rights, and they could lower the boom anytime they wanted without playing games. BS post.

At least they are still playing with you after a month. I have a friend that got called in and was fired the next week. A month is a gift consider yourself lucky. Usually if you get called in they have a rock solid case. My old coworker is going to trial next month for very serious crimes. Alleged of course, but if convicted a few years behind bars is likely

It has happened, but rarely. Look at it this way, if you have to fly up there, eat a meal or two, fly back, at the very least you're running up a tiny tab that the company has to absorb. It's your last chance to get even, if only a little bit. Take a pocket dictaphone along, and at the outset of the meeting inform them that since you were not allowed to bring legal counsel along, that you insist on being able to tape the proceeding as suggested by your legal team. They'll tell you it can't be done, and that for your protection a member of the HR team is present. Inform them that you have no confidence in HR providing you that protection, and challenge the HR member to allow your request to tape the proceeding. They're going to be playing hardball, play hardball back.

no, use your smartphone. download the voice recorder app if you don't have one. easy enough to casually place the phone on the table in front of you when you sit down. the screen will go dark. no one will know.

Go and only answer "I do not recall" nothing more nothing less, yes first say your name, etc then say you will be recordig it to assure that nothing is taken out of context, etc. and then when questioned say "I dont recall" do not stray from this answer. They may ask you about things that happend years ago, ie Do you remember a call you made on Doctor smith in April of 2011 where you brought in snacks?? Answer, " I dont recall" etc, only chance you have. They will try to get you to feel safe and secure and everyone makes mistakes, right, Youre only Human right?? Dont buy it

I know of one that kept his job, he did it by taking control of the meeting; He went in and stated up front that the investigators needed to specifically tell him why he was there, ie: what is the point of this. They answered we just have some questions, then he said ok I was told not to answer questions without representation present So I will answer them all with " Im unable to aswer that question today without representation" He stuck to it and drove them crazy, they gave up after 3 hours of this and He kept his job, the report said inconclusive

It is illegal to record a conversation in the state of Chicago unless all parties agree. Look up the law. If you do so against their will, that may be grounds for termination?
If they say they will not allow you to record the conversation, then fuck with them. Say something to the effect that your legal counsel wanted you to record the conversation. If they will not allow a tapes recording, then you need to pull out a notepad and take verbatim notes of the meeting, which will take several extra hours, especially if you write slow. Two can play the game.

Let me guess. You're a Global Security fuck on an ego trip. You're really nothing more than a glorified night watchman, and you've let your Barney Fife job go to your head. You know I'm right. Now go walk your AP beat and get those watchman's clock punches.

Abbott is so ridiculous. They think that just because they have their own zipcode, they can "rule the world." I'd make sure I get one of the best lawyers in labor relations, and sue their ass, along with a phone call to 20/20, Dateline, 60 Minutes, Cooper Anderson, MSNBC to further investigate the ugly side of pharmaceutical sales & management,

Keep dreaming. You think Cooper Anderson really cares?

All these news programs ARE looking to scourge big pharma for ratings. It's news and give those who have been done wrong a chance to have their story nationwide! Don't be such a nay-sayer.
