It’s started...

I am angry but I did NOT lose my job. I will be at a meeting in December. I am offended on behalf of the others who did. You should be too.
Must be a Democrat. Easily offended by everything and everyone. You're in the wrong business's if stupid meetings are offensive to you. Been here 17 years, and the meetings are fewer and smaller scale than they were before. There are more important things to focus on for most of us. Godspeed

I am a Republican. If you think feeling empathy for my colleagues makes me “easily offended” than you are a self centered ass hole. So it’s ok for others to lose their jobs just as long as it’s not you? You cold hearted creep.

I agree with you!

But isn’t the bigger question.. Why was it not announced? (Transparency). And why did they announce no head count reduction? (Lie)
We are in the trust business...we ask patients to trust us with their lives. We ask the doctor to trust us with their patients and reputation. We ask manage care companies to trust us with value. We ask governments to trust us with their citizens (lgest payer of our meds) but there is a big miss at the second level...their employees But don’t forget...we are the face of bi to the above customers. We are all big people and we know this is a business but if you want the best from your employees they have to trust you. If not, it creates an every man for himself mentality and that my friend is not good for the trust business!

The 30 or so HSBS’s that lost their jobs can either post for open TBS positions or take severance and go get a job elsewhere. Most should go get a job for Biohaven. Plenty of former Bi people there. If the HSBS who was severed is good, the former BI person at Biohaven will know about them, recruit them, and likely pay more than they were making at BI.

Problem solved.

Are you a recruiter for Biohaven or something? I actually heard the pay is pretty low there for specialty.

HSBS continues to prove the future backbone at BI.
The Position can serve as the quarterback to the CBD. In fact growth is on the horizon and those in the know have received the nod and specific skilled TBS have received the invitation to lead their region. Tough decisions have been made and the best will rise to the challenge.
The role is not for the average TBS. Vision and value through intimidation is a critical factor.
Stand back and watch in awe as HSBS sends the team to Valhalla or Presidents Club

The mis-information here is stunning. From the very beginning, it was stated that some positions may be shifted and some may have to take other roles. Not a fan of how the news was delivered, but the fact is that virtually everyone who was displaced has an opportunity to stay with the company in another role. In fact, if there is an interest in a contract position in the same area, that position is being opened up for the BI employee and converted to a BI position. There is a very small handful of HSBS positions that were dissolved without an alternative role. In those cases, a very fair severance package is available. Don’t forget, there were several HSBS territories ADDED. Unfortunately, this is the reality across Pharma. The fact is, the decision was made to better align to the business. We are a for profit organization. Things we should complain about:
1. Manner of notification
2. Shitty data
3. Extremely short timeline to align the company to the new structure by Jean Michel
4. Poor communication across the organization
5. Lack of local input on account alignment

These are all real concerns and need to be addressed immediately. But was this a downsizing move? No absolutely not. If it were, all 30 displaced would have been kicked out the door. Not the case. I do feel for the 3 or 4 who will be without a BI employment opportunity. To them this was absolutely a downsizing.

Very well said. Thanks for putting it into perspective
