Yeah, right... Nice try. This contract is at least good through December and DOES have a good chance of being extended. As someone stated before, NO ONE knows what will happen yet... Not even those making the decisions at AZ. Time will tell... They'll start to figure it out mid-summer.

Remember, Crestor is the #1 product in the AZ portfolio. The Ocean team is focusing its selling efforts of the increased risk patients who really need to get the ldl below 100 or 70 or even lower, and only Crestor delivers here. The increase in new scripts look good so far, and this will go a long way in determining whether the contract goes into 2013. I would think so without being overly optimistic. Generics are eroding market share but Crestor still has decent managed care coverage. It may not be tier one, but it is still pretty good. Let's push for a large enough increase in new rxs to be around for at least another year.
I have no idea what will happen with this contract in September, but I'm just curious how everyone is REALLY doing out there? There have been so many changes to our target list in only 5-6 months and it does help now that all doctors will "count", but I'm feeling the impact of so many of us out there...
I've never been a signature chaser, but now I have days where I don't get ANY, others with just get 1 or 2, then I'll suddenly have 6-7 in a day. They're so strict on what a "call" actually is and access is worse than ever. As long as the sales results are there, I shouldn't worry I guess, we can only do what we can do... But when we can't even record a pharamacy call, I just feel like the activity doesn't look as good as what it actually IS! I suppose it doesn't matter, but just wondering if this is how it is for others?

I heard today that AZ contract is going to end Sept 30, 2012. I asked if they are sure and the person told me this is the plan and it will be spelled out to us in July. Good luck to all

MY MANAGER TOLD OUR ENTIRE TEAM THE SAME THING BEFORE HE LEFT. SOME MANAGERS WILL BE RETAINED FOR OTHER CONTRACTS. IF THERE IS AN OPEN POSITION IN YOUR TERRITORY, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY WHEN THIS CONTRACT ENDS. MY MANAGER ENCOURAGED OUR TEAM TO START APPLYING OUTSIDE OF PUBLICIS BECAUSE THERE WILL BE SO MANY OF US COMPETING FOR THE SAME (IF ANY) OPEN POSITIONS IN OUR REGION. I WAS VERY THANKFUL THAT HE SHARED THE INFORMATION WITH OUR TEAM. I JUST WONDER HOW LONG HE HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS AND WHY HE CHOSE TO TELL US AFTER HE SECURED A POSITION WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I heard that this contract will end on Sept. 30th as well(most definitely). I was told that CSA's will be the only ones promoting Crestor.
It's 50-50 chance of renewal at this point. If Ocean national figures are positive, AZ may well extend the contract. Ocean is well trained and experienced and have built selling relationships while CSAs are just coupon and minimal sample droppers. If AZ determines the Ocean has made a positive impact on Crestor numbers, why wouldn't the contract be extended. AZ regular reps should be more expendable if a headcount reduction is coming.
