Is anyone worried?

You make it sound soooo easy. Do you know the reputation Suboxone has in my state? Combined with the new regulations on painkillers? I know Suboxone isn't a painkiller but lots of doctors lump it in with the others. And they don't want to touch it. The bad Suboxone docs have ruined it for the good ones. So, newbie, please teach me how it's done, because I'd love to have docs beating down my door to get certified.

Not new, and for starters you need to go out and find the doctors, and not wait for them to call you. It's not lumped in with pain drugs everywhere, because we didn't all market it that way.

Didn't need to market it that way, most docs use it that way.

My sentiments exactly. I've never promoted it as a pain drug, but doctors aren't dumb either. And thus the association with full agonist painkillers.

Also, I don't just wait for doctors to come to me. In the past year I've been told "no" more times than I can count. Most of my Suboxone docs are 5-6+ years certified now. When we stopped focusing on growth and went into protect mode, that's when we lost our way. I don't have the time to juggle managed care issues that weren't of my doing, protecting against competition, AND uncover new leads. I have to pick one or two areas to focus on. So I do. And then I run up against the negative stereotype Suboxone has gained over the years. So maybe it's easy for you to grow your business, but it isn't for a lot of us. I'm not just talking out my rear end either. At the POAs they have shown data that more docs are losing their Suboxone waivers than are getting certified.

Well said. I will add the we have been misled on the loss of access. I have seen the Film share in my region take a big hit this month and Caremark is having ripple effects. Never seen such a negative attitude towards Suboxone as I have seen the past 2 - 3 months. Drs are switching to generics and the Oreo product as there is no baggage with those drugs. RB leadership is clueless and I think it is time to look for a way out as I have lost confidence. Good luck to all.

wait til the United Health decision kicks in
managed care failing daily

It's funny how I have doctors asking me who in this company is responsible for us losing contracts. Many of them want to prescribe Film and really appreciate the CLs. They are losing the ability to prescribe and looking at us questioning why we don't have stronger negotiations in place. Is our pricing just completely out of the ballpark compared to the other products or is it we are being failed by our MC team - particularly the Joker? I've heard some CL's say this is no big deal, happens in pharma all the time. I understand that, its the point that we don't have anything to fall back on when this product's life cycle is done. Where the hell is business development???

Orexo has already reached similar conditions with Medimpact from January 2014.

CVS Caremark
Total lives covered=85,100,000
Market share=11,99%

MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc.
Total lives covered=32,000,000
Market share=4,51%

Should be worried with more managed care contracts falling and more Orexo Medicaid wins!

Orexo will win some contracts bc they are desperate. I already have doctors getting tons of complaints from patients having to be switched to Zubsolv. And they are actually getting a few CVS Film appeals to go through. Orexo is undercutting us, but a shit product is a shit product. It's up to our crack MC team to make the insurance companies see that.

"crack managed care team"???
they're th ones losing your access moron - led by that psycho RP

Getting to the meaning of the thread, I'm worried for the people in KY. Anyone read or watch about a pastor that died in a church service holding poisonous snakes? WTF is that?

Old news, and back on film around 2 weeks after they start tabs.

This was not a widespread situation. Most have tried to do the right thing and have been advocates for patients all the way. Many lives have been saved. So unfortunate a greedy few can tarnish the name. I believe the good will outweigh the bad.

I agree that it is not widespread but it doesn't really matter! The "bad" that has occurred will be what brings RB down. And several higher ups looked the other way when they knew what was happening...all for Market share! Wasn't worth it!
