Is anyone else depressed?

Yes, you are exactly right. The top performers were all from rural places like NYC and covered teeny-tiny hospitals like MD Anderson. Not only are you a douchebag tht cannot sell, you are also a complete idiot. Now go celebrate your 150% growth rate and the fact that it equates to maybe 1000 vials. I love it when people who had a crappy year cannot own it. Instead you say "it's not an equal playing field." And you call me a whiner? Classic.

If you did not know, MD Anderson does not have a pharmacy budget which is why the cost of drugs that are utilized through that institution are not restricted like in most community hospitals, or hospital systems. Just in case you smartasses did not know that.

And some of the other big producing hospitals like U. Of Pittsburgh, NY, Duke, etc., Cadence executives had previous relationships that they worked to get Ofirmev moving. Show me a large hospital that is blowing it out without hinderance of pharmacy and I'll show you where strings were pulled to get the business. Nothing wrong with it, it's just reality.

Yes, UPMC! That rep is lucky!

This company needs to GROW so it makes sense to incentivize people on growth. If you do exactly what you did last quarter then you're actually not as great as you think you are (whether this is 1000 vials or 10000 vials). Growing business in this environment should be rewarded. It all equals out in the end. Stop worrying about the next person and focus on your own business. The rank will change EVERY week so why get so worked up over it.

I don't think anyone is debating that we need to grow business. I think that people are annoyed that folks who sold next to nothing last quarter and are now selling 10% of what the top performers are being praised and compensated disproportionately. And if you want me to stop worrying about the next person, then get rid of the rankings. Don't rank someone above me that sold a fraction of what I've sold and expect that I will not notice corporate welfare. 150% growth is meaningless if it equates to 2000 vials.

Well I feel sorry for you. Worrying about something that changes weekly is crazy. Also, 150% growth IS meaningful in this environment. Even if the vial count is low. Yes it can be based on hard work or luck (in both scenarios), but it deserves to be recognized. If you are a top performer you will get paid this year and you had the luxury of getting paid ALL last year (regardless if it was luck or hard work or a combo of both). Are YOU growing? Maybe not. If you are, then the money will come.

Now THIS is a good point. Thank you!

Saying the current rank bothers you is interesting. Like the previous posters mentioned, some (not all) of our top performers have just gotten lucky with one or two big accounts. Last year you had no problem being ranked next to those with high volume in accounts they can't even get into. Regardless if it's UPMC, Stanford, etc. these reps got a significant amount of business from accounts that might not even know their name. It's hard to cry social welfare when many people were/are benefitting from business they aren't responsible for. Is that fair? Is that social welfare since people were paid bonus on these accounts? This is sales. No plan is ever fair. Ever.

YES! YES! YES!

Amen!

Yes! EXCELLENT POINT!!!! FINALLY!

Worked up? You bet I'm worked up. At the current weekly case run rate....we'll never survive! From top to bottom everyone knows it.

I agree! So why are reps trashing one another on here saying one is a better performer than another. We are all in the same boat and should stick together......this company sucks!

Let me guess, you're a jealous rep or manager in the West Region. Whaaaaaaaaaaa!

Yeah, I am real depressed between the recruiters being unethical and the rumors that the problems with manufacturing are worse than Scotty knew. How can we sell more vials when we don't know for sure whether there will be more problems yet to be revealed. My contact in SD says heads are about to roll over this. Maybe Scotty should get rid of the people who are screwing up our drug. What the hell has E.F. Carbajal done as director of quality. We can't sell a drug unless we can stand behind all aspects of it, quality being foremost. This company is going down sooner than I think many of us really thought. Pay attention to what's happening at headquarters Maybe Scotty should go back to Harvard for summer school! I am planning my Friday tee times :)

Grow Cadence grow! Top performers last year made so much money and probably will again this year, we want everyone to be motivated from top to bottom. It might be difficult the bottom performers blow it out Q1, but good for them. It's growth and security for all of us. Be happy for your peers. Amazed at the comp plans & how everyone has a chance here at Cadence. So much potential for this drug, but it's not a lay down sell. It really takes senior skills and planning. Good luck.

Nice try, but no one is falling for it. The sales just are not strong enough and no one is going to buy this goose egg. Most are looking and at the moment just milking their time till the company folds
