Interviews

These interviews are a TOTAL scam and waste of time. In most cases, it seems, they already know who they are hiring BEFORE they interview candidates. Yesterday in Dallas, they interviewed a guy, he went straight to the RD, and was flying back when the other candidates had to stay and interview (even though they knew they were hiring the first guy). In another territory, the guy that got hired is a neighbor of the DM. He has a year of experience versus a candidate with 13 years diabetes experience, another with 10. Yet they KNEW neighbor guy was getting hired BEFORE the interviews, yet they flew people in to go through the crap for legal reasons. I understand it's who you know in many cases, however, this was handled EXTREMELY unprofessionally. Way to go Ventiv. Hope you believe in karma.

Is anyone else that made it to the RD still waiting for a phone call? Spoke to recruiter today and she said she hasnt heard anything regarding me not being considered still that they are so busy that it's a matter of time. That they are going to call references still, but none of mine have been called....why such a long process??

I am experiencing the same thing. Only one of the candidates that I met on Monday when I had my interview heard from her hiring manager. I was the candidate selected, interviewed with the RD and have yet to hear anything either.

That is so inconsiderate to make offers to some candidates by some managers only to leave others wondering. I won't attempt to contact my recruiter because she only returns calls or answers e-mails if it is to her benefit. I had a question about an expense to be reimbursed and my recruiter said she couldn't help me nor did she have a contact number for me to call, and that I should e-mail the "expense" dept. which I did twice and they never replied. I finally called corporate in MA on my own and spoke with someone in accounts payable to get it resolved.

how important are the performance reviews they ask for....

Why, do you find it difficult to put together a spreadsheet or word document that says what you want it to say? Are you that stupid to think that people that go on interviews with pharma companies bring in the actual perf reviews and "market share growth" spreadsheets that they really got?

DID ANYBODY INTERVIEW WITH THE AMGEN REJECT FOR THE MID ATLANTIC?

Bottom line here people regardless if you were one of the three that met with the RSD, keep interviewing elsewhere in the mean time. Bydureon has not been approved and if the unlikely case it gets sent back for more studies, you are screwed. Continue to search and get another job. No formal offers can legally go out UNTIL Bydureon lands approval. So those that said they negotiated and signed an official document for the position are lying. You will not receive a FedEx offer letter until AFTER approval. Good luck with the search...

Wrong. I recieved my offer letter and HR paperwork on Wed. I took the drug test and filled out the background stuff on Monday, even got a letter from my State DMV that said Sterling had done an inquiry into my driving record (for the backgroudn check). Like an offer letter, it said this is an at-will employment - you can leave at any time, or they can terminate employment at any time....so of course, if Byd isn't approved, it's probably null-an-void. However, the offer letters are being sent out.

When did you interview and in what region?
