Interviews with managers

Salaries play a big part in who they move forward with. They would love to find reps who they can get for 120k base. That’s the pond that they are fishing in first. There is another salary band that’s in the 130-135 range but they don’t want that to be the majority of the sales force hence they are holding off on the higher salaried candidates for now. They don’t want to pay high base salaries and the hiring process reflects that.

My understanding is salaries are non negotiable and based on years of experience will determine your salary band

What primary care role pays $120? Lost your mind...

Yeah I agree. Most primary care jobs aren’t going to $120k base. Heck in the past few years there’s many specialty jobs that only go $120-125k. Don’t get me wrong, there’s def some spec jobs that go up to $135k but most are at the $120k range. This doesn’t count Oncology because they pay redic money.

Again it’d be very very rare for a PC job to be at $120k base

Ok stop misleading on here with your low ball salary info. Your specialty salary info of “up to 135” is Acadia’s pay structure which is very low compared to industry average. This is fact! I have no reason to BS and mislead like you are trying to do on here. Neuroscience Specialty base pay goes up to 155-160. Entry level specialty pharma which is what these Acadia jobs are pay 120 but that is well below industry averages.

Nope...not even close to true. You want to start naming all these good companies that pay $155-$160k base that aren’t oncology?
Lmao I’ll wait..

Trust me I’m well connected to many specialty managers from many years in this industry & I keep up with market pay ranges.
Primary care reps do not get offers of $120k base. Fact.
Many specialty jobs only pay $120-$125 base. Only a select few pay around $135k base. Fact

Again you are FOS. You keep referencing PCP reps nobody cares about them. Loser status. 120 for specialty reps is 100% entry level salary for specialty sales. Neuro specialty for experience starts at 135 and goes up to 160. Biogen just hired an entire neuro sales force and must reps were offered 145-160. Acadia base pay is bush league entry level specialty. Stop spinning the facts.

Look at it this way homer, there is no current experienced specialty rep leaving their specialty job to jump to Acadia for a lame 120 offer UNLESS they were laid off or expecting to be cut. End of this discussion!!

Ummmm read this thread Chief. First things first. Yes $120k base for PC sales was talked about which I said doesn’t happen and is a fact!!

Secondly the only company you could name that paid more $135k base Biogen & that’s a lie. Lololol. Omg what a loser. Why tf are you trying to convince people of this. Biogen was paying $120k base up until the last year. With their potential expansion they’ve moved it up to $135-$140k base base on experience and success.

So this list of companies that pay more than $135....we are still waiting bud lololol.
Again. Many companies only pay $120k-$125k base for specialty.
