This comp plan is such bullshit. I have not lost any business and my sales are over last years sales but I am at 78%. I guess I'll have to tell the kids that my company gave me a big part of someone else's quota and in order to pay my bonus to a less fortunate underperforming rep and that is why there will be no Christmas this year.

Please refocus your efforts on Compass and you should do better soon. Remember, our training department is availbale to help you with any role plays or other training support.

Nice lesson in accountability! Teaching your kids to blame others... nice. You failed your children not the company. You made your choices, they just have to live with them. I feel sorry for them and the future they have with a parent that gives up on them. You should be embarrassed to look them in the eye, they deserve better.

Or maybe it is an excellent lesson for children to learn to put the blame where it belongs, and often it does belong with others. Of course in this PC world we should never blame the 'less fortunate'. Keep up the brain-dead thinking, and you will rightly become the less fortunate (ie., stupid jerk due to one's one idiocy).

MN = 0 experience running a sales force prior
TN = experience running a sales force/company prior
MW = 0 experience running a sales force prior
LH = 0 experience running a sales force prior

these equations can only equal one of the following:
A) Novartis doesn't care too much about sales force success, and lets it chug along
B) Novartis mgt is dumb (likely not case. Most of them have prior experiences and most other Novartis business units are successful)
C) TN negotiated some type of deal in her sale to Novartis that her and LH are protected (for now. All deals expire at some point)

It isn't that any of these folks are truly bad people, they have all just failed to realize that they don't know it all nor the courage to admit I am not qualified in my posistion.

You mean there WERE a lot of talented people...the smart/good ones are long gone. If you are still at Genoptix you are either new or too cowardly to make a move. Corporate is a disaster with the exception of a select few in marketing and CS.
 












If the comp plan is bad, do like I did and get another job. Believe me it is so much better being away from Genoptix. If you aren't making what you feel your worth, take your skills elsewhere. You all aren't prisoners, so dust off your résumé and start interviewing. Don't be brainwashed by your DM and Genoptix that you are no good, because it sounds like there are a lot of insecure people still hanging around. Why are you all allowing yourselves to be defecated all over. You don't have to live like that. It's not worth it. If you choose to stay then it's because you choose it. Make the move and you'll see other companies don't operate the "Genoptix Way".
