If your happy and you know it...

Problems on ENTIRE 2nd floor and more on 3rd. We have department that can't keep good talent. Years of nonsense and no consequences. That's one of the office issues. No consequence for toxic behavior thats spread like a cancer. Bull5hit has become normal its not questioned because questioning would mean HR would have to take action.
Spot on!

This place still uses old style management tactics of bullying and keeping everyone thinking they are going to lose their jobs if they have a bad day. This style is not aligned with other major pharmas.

I am glad I left and went to good pharma company that values its employees.
In fact, they are keeping us working at home because they want to protect us and it doesn't hurt that we are doing so well.

Leave while you can because even a mediocre company will treat you better than Taro.

Hawthorne is fully re-opening in September. Vaccinations will be provided on BYOV basis (Buy Your Own Vaccine). You folks 've had enough leisure time since March. Time to go back to work.

I hear now in order for an employee to move to a different department they have to ask their managers permission??! Imagine that! Working for one of those toxic managers and asking if one could leave?! The retaliation!!!!
This is not true. Employee doesn't need to ask for permission to move out of one team to another. However, employee needs to inform current manager about his/her plans. This normal practice. It allows for proper work transition and healthy relations within- or between departments.

Normal practice for non normal and toxic management. Makes sense

Thats not the norm.In most companies it's optional. I could see why it would be an issue at Taro. Most still aren't working under normal conditions. When I was with the Co I was working under someone who was EXTREMELY unprofessional and an overall unhappy person. A conversation of me wanting to move would not have gone well. For the employees that remain, if the company is interested in holding on to some, Taro may want to look into changes.

That's the point. Can't unfortunately apply best practices when working in a sh*thole like this.
In my previous company, it was considered unethical to make "behind the scenes" arrangements about moving employees between departments. Normally, employee would talk to his manager about the opportunity and manager (if he wants to keep his good reputation) would let employee go and give him nice references.
At Taro with all these toxic, jealous, dishonest managers, this wouldn't work.

Of cause it's unethical- making secret arrangements with other managers about moving to their dept.
Even if current manager is nasty, employee should understand that he/she is setting up his whole team by moving out suddenly with no advance notice. Other people will have to absorb his work until replacement is hired which creates more stress.
Fact that Taro has broken culture and dumb managers doesn't mean we shouldn't make attempts to improve things and promote better practices.
