Firstly, thank you George Fennel, you are a truly gutless leader who has effectively developed a human-centipede like chain of command with zero actual quality to provided to the customers and employees; and a total smokescreen thrown at investors.
Investment group guy- would be happy to exchange info. You'd be shocked at the more granular details of how this place operates.
The timeline of seriously unethical behavior I've witnessed since my starting with the company in sales 3 years ago is.... impressive.
While Idexx has reached a level a disgusting amount leverage over IHD/lab pricing- the "software" end of sales is downright LAUGHABLE. Lies about comp plans to motivate sales. "Only care about sales numbers and not customer experience post-sale" was verbatim manager quote recently. As was "tell them whatever you need to close an account- by the time they realize the any misquoted pricing I plan to have (promoted myself and everyone in dept".
Zero marketing=zero market demand. Zero incentive for inter/intra department teaming. Zero attempts to boost morale (birthday cake once a month). Regularly lied to about compensation/under compensated each quarter. Zero room for promotion. Fighting between lines of business. Mom and pop veterinarians and employees desperate trying to make quota are the result. I would guess that the inside sales division is about 10% brown-nosers with some form of nepotism and 90% miserable employees who stay on for longer than they should due to false promises and the poor Southern Maine job market.
I would not be surprised if any financial forecasting shared with investor/fund groups is highly skewed due to sketchy quarterly reporting.
HR is INVISIBLE and based out of Eau Claire Wisconsin- while sales is based out of HQ in Maine? Find your dedicated HR person and they will work against you with management to sweep anything under rug.
The P/E ratio has gotten better as earnings have gone up due to what has to be considered price manipulation- and jamming unjustifiable invoice items at business owners who can't even keep their MANY Idexx reps in order.
I have been a top performer for years now which has required overcoming the most ridiculous tasks. During this time it has become a requirement that you lose all morals to even hit goal (let alone exceed).
Good salespeople must avoid and/or leave this company.
