I work at amgen. ask me anthing. I'll answer honestly

Looks like for the remainder of 2023. Our benefits are going to stay with Horizon.

That’s what the email said…except ESPP. I wouldn’t read into it. It’s like it just all to make it easier on Amgen when it comes to tax & legal compliance. Any buyer is given a M&A transaction rule relief window until the end of the plan year in order to provide them the time to combine everything.

I don't wanna brag, but I'll be
The best you ever had

Amgen 401k match better.
Car deal better.
Medical better.

equity at Amgen is so small it's meaningless
IC at Agmen is so bad, there is no hustle because you probably won't get credit anyway

the real benefit to Amgen is all the teleconferences. you can stay in your PJs most of the day. the keys to Amgen teleconference culture are

1- regardless of topic and value, immediately thank the presenter for conducting the call ( this leads to BRAVO points)
2-thank them again for scheduling the call when you regularly would be doing a lunch (this makes it easier to not have to do an expense report)
3-ask for future calls to celebrate milestones (this is most accepting by RAE and anyone in managed care - they love, love, love to set calls up - offer nothing and then write up ONEAMGEN successes)

so, you get lots of time off

Still whining like a bitch

OP here again.

Grants are low too. Win president club you might get 9k. Regular grant is 2-3k. You don't work at Amgen to get rich. You work here for solid benefits and to help patients.

Help patients? Lol! So Amgen helps patients more than any other pharma company? Please. So sick of reps & companies as a whole acting like helping patients is why they do what they do. You do this job because you get paid well for not doing much compared to most other jobs.

OP again...

I'm sorry I don't agree. My "why" has always been to help patients. You sound like someone who needs a greater purpose in life. You will find much more success when you don't make it about yourself. Just a FYI.
