I believe the reason Biomet will fail is.....

It's employees - the company is made up of YES men and women. Instead of individual thinkers they are yes people?

I agree - if it is a Director, VP - no one EVER questions these people. Why not because they don't have what it takes to stand up to them. That is why bad decisions continue to be made and this company will GO DOWN...

Companies fail because of who is put in charge. Equally Biomet will fail because of their products. Nothing new, nothing great. The whole industry needs to be revamped.

Lol! You're an idiot. Obviously you for whatever the reason want Biomet to fail but certainly they won't. You must be very disgruntled. If you hate Biomet so much leave.

Thanks! XOXO

You can call someone an idiot you don't even know? I am probably your superior so choose your words carefully. It's not a matter of will Biomet fail. It is a matter of when will Biomet fail. The industry is changing and Biomet is not going to be able to adapt to those changes quick enough. That is the truth. I am not disgruntled. I am a realist. I am planning on leaving when the time is right. In the meantime I just move on with the Biomet motto of living the good life.

Maybe in your mind you're my superior but that's about it. A title doesnt make you superior. If you are so brilliant offer up some real ideas in the next meeting. That is if you have the balls. If you're planning on leaving anyway what do you have to lose?

Why offer anything? new? ideas? I just want my nice fat package. As soon as the buy out happens I am gone with my money. You see it really doesn't matter to me either way so I have decided not to even try. Like it or not that is the way it is. If I actually come up with an idea it could be my fate so why try? I just act like I am friends with everyone and be nice and they like me and things are fine. Little do they know I think most of them are turds. I am milking this cow as long as I can.

I certainly dont want Biomet to fail but it's confusing to me how the company is ran. There is a huge problem with communication. The VP's are so removed that its as if they don't exist. They emerge every so often to make a trivial decision but that's about it. Mine doesn't communicate at all. I have no problem making a decision but they just don't allow that type of behavior. It's very frustrating and demotivating. We have the good old boys who are hanging on to Danes buddy system and prevent any new ideas or structure. And the non buddies trying to get the job done and think outside the box. Maybe they feel threatened I'm not sure. Not sure how to help this enormous problem...

Biomet Spine is worse!

Metal on Metal Hip - Law Suits

DePuy is under litigation for their metal on metal hip. Why doesn't Biomet also have litigation for their metal on metal hip? Isn't the real problem increases in cancer from the metal ions? Isn't metal - metal? Whether it is DePuy's or Biomets?

I don't think Biomet will fail but I don't think they will advance either. Biomet operates on a good old boy system that keeps progress at bay. When you look at the upper management the majority have been there for many years doing things the same way they always have. Back when there were 10 employees and the cow was tied up out back. I don't know if it's because they are insecure and feel threatened (probably) by fresh ideas but it sure appears to be the case. When you are a progressive thinker it can be a very frustrating place to work. The style is very lazy and unprofessional. I thought that by bringing in some new leaders that things would change but that hasn't happened. Well, maybe things have changed recently but it's change that has been unorganized and only created more confusion. Advancing in this company has nothing to do with performance that brings in revenue. It's all about becoming a part of the good old boys club.

A very strange culture...

...and your incredible, insightful, intuitive, assessment comes from where?????

This dribble has no credibility whatsoever and is nothing but the rantings of a disgruntled current or past employee or worse yet....a competitor!

Mr. Dribble, I did not write the comment from the previous poster, but I agree with what they have to say about the company. You sound like you must be one of those non progressive good ole boy Biomet folks having lacking much as the writer describes.

The problem again is the good ole boys club. It needs to go down. No one will question anyone who is part of the club because they think as a team and all agree with each other. Even if what they are really in agreement of is wrong. If you do question the club, you will never be asked to join, because after all it is Yes men and women in the club that just settle for as in nothing new same old. This is the reason Biomet will go down because innovation is not encouraged unless you can persuade the club. Most are not willing to try to persuade the club so most just go to the club and ask their opinion then do whatever they say. Live and learn that why buck a system even if it doesn't work at least you have your job. When you buck the system they see you as someone who isn't a team player and the club doesn't listen so why try? By bucking the system I am referring to thinking on your own versus asking what the club wants and doing what they say which does not cultivate creativity or new innovations.

I picked it out of my ass like this company is run. It was a real diggleberry just waiting to be picked.

This ranting comes from me a current employee. My credibility is that I live it every day. It isn't being intuitive its the experience of living it. You are obviously part of the problem. Your fear probably comes from your lack of talent. It seems to be quite common at Biomet. People who discourage new ideas and change usually are hiding behind the fact that they have no skills. I will advance in Biomet because I've attached myself to the few that aren't a part of the buddy system. And when I do you will be my target. Don't think I'm alone in my thinking for there are several of us who have these discussions behind the curtain. How's that for insight?

I see you personally as one of the few that has no insightful knowledge or experience, because I know who you are. Your arrogance might get you somewhere, a ticket out the door. That is when Biomet is sold and they come in and see where the real talent is. That is if there is any at all except a few of us? I personally will be part of that cleaning of the house and Blackstone agrees. Biomet is a company that is the weakest managed company I have ever worked for and yes I have had these same discussions with others who equally agree. So enjoy you shortened time and arrogance.
