Eric Topol just killed fish oil

Good thing Vascepa isn't fish oil, which is one of the reasons Vascepa will dominate this market:

"Each VASCEPA capsule contains 1 gram of icosapent ethyl. Icosapent ethyl is an ethyl ester of the omega-3 fatty acid eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). The empirical formula of icosapent ethyl is C22H34O2 and the molecular weight is 330.51. The chemical name for icosapent ethyl is ethyl all-cis-5,8,11,14,17-icosapentaenoate."

Fish oil is a mix of DHA/EPA, like Lovaza and Epanova. If I worked for GSK or OMTH, I would be worried.

AMRN on the other hand, will continue to succceed and grow.

You do realize the link you posted suggest benefits with EPA/DHA?

HAHAHAHAHA If you just listened to the conference call, you'd think this stock had value. What a stupid CEO. Somebody should smack him in the head. "NO GUIDANCE" What a fool.

To all of you rocket scientists amarin hired, Jelis and Gissi P did not have high risk patients treated to goal on statins. In Reduce-It patients must be treated to goal and have trigs greater than 175. It is extremely unlikely the number of events needed will occur with 8000 patients nor will you see a benefit with EPA. Study was done to get the anchor indication. amarin will be out of cash within 6 months. Start looking

Gee thanks for the advice! You seem so well informed on the subject. Thanks so much for looking out for us, that's really sweet of of you. Now if I may may say so what sort of twisted loser you must be with no life to be on others boards sticking your nose in here.? Get a life please and worry about your own pathetic life!Have a nice day,:)

so as you all keep thinking that you're going to sell this drug, remember, you put lipstick on a pig it's still a pig.
Poor Joe Z..pumping his stock.. promising the board there are better days ahead and that he knows what he's doing.
The SEC will come a knockin soon!! beware!!

They only know one way, and that's the "big pharma way". They want instant gratification that they saw at Merck and Pfizer when products were launched with multimillion dollar budgets, DTC ad campaigns, and 9-12 reps all calling on the same customers and tripping over each other.

Irony is officially dead, since we are actually outperforming big pharma companies who are launching products this year, yet the sales directors are panicking, managers are resigning and reps are dizzy with roiling, bottomless anxiety

It's called PERSPECTIVE!!!!

GET A GRIP, PEOPLE!

Actually you are the dumb shit. Its the big pharma people who actually understand the time it takes to build a blockbuster. You're right it doesn't happen overnight. Its the people who had Omacor/Lovaza and are now within Amarin who don't understand the environment today, and are slashing and burning, and panicking for no reason. Place the blame where it belongs. The Novartis, Pfizer, and Merck people know. Hell its their former companies who cant get lift off and their friends who are struggling, so they know the game.

Big Pharma has the luxury of not needing "instant gratification" because they have other products that produce revenue. The panic is unfortunately small pharma. Been there done it, at it again. its just the way it is. \\Go sell.

It takes more time to build sales when you are actually having to establish the market in the first place (which was the case with Lovaza). With the launch of Vascepa, we should be seeing better market share numbers in the launch phase, but so far, it has not been that great of a start.

Company consistently pisses on shareholders, who just smile and thank management as they take it. All management has to do is dangle the "buyout" carrot above retail's head. Funds sell options, management sells shares, retail happily welcomes financial robbery and everyone is satisfied: Nash equilibrium!

A buyout rumor today? Oh my, AND they're selling May 8s from a helicopter overhead?

Note the distance of the carrot, retail. Rinse. Repeat.

Never have I seen such a clear display of option manipulation. This team is easily in the running for worst management group of the last three years. No wonder this thing is down like 50% since drug approval. Unwilling to protect investors from manipulation, the team instead spends the day looking to go long Amarin CDS. This company will fail, and it will be rest squarely on the shoulders of management. I hope they're all indicted.

BROKEN POS... LOOK HOW IT REACTS TO GOOD NEWS!!!! Bulls don't care, though. They cemented their thesis a long time ago. Not even reality can alter their thesis. Does that count as insanity? I'd say so.
