How long till the end?

so here we are 5 months in. Sales are not tracking anywhere close to Lovaza's launch. Joe Z doesn't want to pay out sales bonuses and now he decimates marketing's budget.
Do we think we are running out of money?? hell yeah.. but Joe Z and his crew continue to pull the bait and switch.

It takes more time to build sales when you are actually having to establish the market in the first place (which was the case with Lovaza). With the launch of Vascepa, we should be seeing better market share numbers in the launch phase, but so far, it has not been that great of a start.

Reliant had an 800 person sales force when they launched Omacor (Lovaza)

It was also easier then to drive share with a new product (not as much generic competition, not as much push back from managed care)

More patients were actually insured back then- 3 million people lost their benefits at the end of last year

It was a completely different ballgame back then

Obamacare is setting in, and the door is slamming shut for products to gain entry into the lipid lowering market

Not our fault by any means. 8, even 5 years ago we would be rocking

DENIAL!

1. It was not easier because there wasn't an omega 3 prescription market established.
2. I'll give you rep numbers, however, Reliant had to directly compete against Antara with the same sales force.
3. Managed Care sucked at first with Omacor, practically no Med D coverage...sound familiar?
4. There are plenty of millions of insured patients right now.
5. Vascepa is already IN the market, so Obama has nothing to do with it.

I get it, you are making excuses because you were fed a pipe dream. Fact is you have an inferior triglyceride lowering drug, and you are going up against a better sales force with more resources.

GSK puke, please go kiss the doctor's ass so you get a good rating and leave the selling to us who get paid to move product. Quit living in the Wonder Years Kevin, this is 2013 and Amarin is out performing big pharma in their launches that came in with a 2 year pre-launch and brand recognition. NO excuses, we are taking this product to the top, in due time . We are taking your market share and as experience and results grows, the growth will be exponential. p.s. Kiss my arse.

I am not a GSK rep, but will tell you that you got owned by the other guy. That is the problem with facts. They back up what he says, but show you to be a liar. Amarin is NOT out performing big pharma and is not even close. GSK is not losing market share and the numbers by Amarin are weak. The stock reflects the poor launch as it is falling far short of expectations.

Deal with it, skippy.

In NJ and will tell you it is almost over. We over estimated sales and waited too long to sell so now we are stuck. Stock will never get back up to $15 range even with with a sale. Some HQ folks are also gone in support positions and managed care is not gaining any traciton. Good luck.

Vascepa is clearly a superior product. Period end of story. The rest is not Important.we developed a better product, it will eventually be the standard.

Sales are increasing week over week and more insurances are now covering at Tier 2. Some of the insurances are already covering Trigs > 200 including Tricare. Slow and steady will get us there.

Perhaps you can point out the head to head trial that also provided outcomes data......oh, wait.....you can't.....hmmmmmmm...........you do understand that it is illegal to promote a product off label, right?

Tricare??? What about Humana, Aetna and Cigna - and I do not consider a PA or Step access. My Drs can get it thru their PBM's but the HMOs are calling us as they cover Lov but not us.
