That would never ever happen. Not without Pharma, not for what Novartis wants for what is left...just not going to happen.
Novartis Chief Executive Joe Jimenez said last year his company's Alcon eye care unit was on track to begin testing in 2016.The agreement between Google and Alcon represents an important step for Novartis, across all of its divisions, to leverage technology to manage human diseases and conditions.
“Our dream is to use the latest technology in the miniaturization of electronics to help improve the quality of life for millions of people,” said Sergey Brin, Co-Founder, Google. “We are very excited to work with Novartis to make this dream come true."
Under the agreement, Google[x] and Alcon will collaborate to develop a “smart lens” that has the potential to address ocular conditions. One thing I don't understand is if novartis sell alcon who then is making the Google eye lens or does alcon still have the contract anyone know
Google Novartis Alcon sale. There's a wealth of info and company specific speculation. I'm just guessing BUT articles written by actual industry insiders just might have more value than posts on Cafe Pharma. Maybe.
