Sure, I have done both. While I cant say for sure, PREP base is usually lower than a T.S. Of course it depends on your experience, but most T.S’s make more. PREP is much more of a community education job, numbers are very nebulous. T.S is much more of a true sales job, numbers are specific. Bonuses can be much higher as a T.S.

Overall, T.S job is more respected by management, and a better job. If given the choice, for sure go that direction.

My impression is Most PREP base is 80k - 130k, T.S. Is 90k - 180k.

I don't think this is accurate. There is quite a bit of division hopping.
 






While Bik is on a great run, it may be coming to an end. There is a lot of buzz around safety. What Gilead knew and if we hid data. More and more patients are jumping on the class action lawsuit claiming kidney and bone toxicity. Not sure how valid this is but docs have brought it up to me. I guess we'll see.

Many are using it off-label as PrEP.
I got a couple of gay docs that take it and swear by it.

Agreed that HIV "rules the roost"..for now. However, we have some challenges ahead of us and not necessarily 2DR. It's the pending litigation over IP infringement. Potentially billions in retribution payments and royalties on future sales of Bik. My partner is a litigator and has been following this ongoing case. Of course competition is always a concern. Heard there is also an injectable coming. For now, I'm going to sit tight but will be monitoring closely.

As a CL, I have no clue on salary and bonus. I will say I do agree with the sentiment that PrEP is much less a sales job and more a community education. They have no competitors whereas the treatment team has dozens of them. I get the impression Treatment team is much more valued by the company and would be surprised if they didn’t make more....they deserve more.

No competitor doesn't matter when the insane goals of the company, regardless of division, are completely out of reach.

You can’t invent anything in liver so you buy it and then charge a premium (HCV). Now your NASH program is dead in the water so who will you buy to try to get a leg up???

Here’s the deal: Do you actually know anyone paying more than $30/month? Insurance covers Truvada b/c it SAVES the plan $. Lots of patients pay NOTHING!!

No one, not even the insurance companies, pay the list price.

Say what you will but AOC was absolutely correct to question why Truvada is priced at $1,780 in the U.S. compared to $8 in Australia. There is absolutely no justification nor rationale for U.S. citizens to get fleeced to pay over 220 times what Australians or any other nations throughout the world pay. Other than pure greed please share your justification for such an extreme price difference to persons in the U.S. compared to other persons in the world. Your CEO certainly couldn’t provide a justifiable answer since it helps pay his exorbitant salary. Maybe you have a more logical rationale than your last reply? Regardless of who/what pays for Truvada, the simple question is why a medication is so grossly overpriced (>220X) to one group of citizens versus another? I think you’ll agree $1,780 versus $8 is a more than egregious difference.

She said it was $2k and was corrected by DO’D. She was blatantly inflating the facts to grandstand and get her optic. Did she even ask a question? It’s pure theatre.

The difference is that in the US Truvada is still patent protected. That will end next year and Truvada will cost similar to what it does in Australia. Case closed. Next.

My point is that the cost to the patient is typically very low. That’s the way the private/public payor system in the US works. No one is paying 2K and it’s unfair to say so.

Of course AOC won’t point that out b/c it doesn’t serve her purpose of grandstanding.

So you feel a life saving product that cost billions to invent/produce should cost less than a Starbucks coffee? Maybe those in other countries should pay more of their fair share so we all can benefit from these life saving drugs. Trust me, when the cash cow USA stops funding all these inventions than all of us will quit benefiting from these ground breaking miraculous products. AOC and her types are idiots, they need to turn their venom towards the gree loaders throughout the world , but alas, that’s what she wants us to become. They all seem to aspire to be Venezuela, seen their success lately?
