The reality of working at Genentech is that regardless of your experience, if you have the right connections, you'll be promoted. No one in the field from the Genentech legacy side can sell worth shit since they spend most of the time networking and kissing Arsss. This company is the epitome of cronyism and favoritism. Someday this will rear its ugly head and bite them with an OIG compliance charge, which we all know Ian never wants to see.
 












Glad that I went with my inner gut and opted to depart the hallowed halls of DNA then wait around for the "dream job" to open in my area. Having kept tabs on the openings in sales, not much out there so what was the BS that A Majoch spouted about summer being a big time for new openings. For those hanging on, good luck, you deserve better.
 






There are only around 30 reps left, and 3 or 4 DMS; surely a company the size of Roche acn absorb this few people. Unless a person has unsatisfactory reviews in the past, they should all be fine.

Genentech does not "absorb" anyone.......one must be vetted 20 times over from top to bottom to be worthy of staying on board (or you just need to have enough incriminating evidence on the hiring manager to blackmail them into hiring you)
