Any of the future Medtronic CEO babies on LinkedIn ready to captain the Titanic?
They were great decisions for their personal bank accounts. Omar and Geoff personally pocketed over 100M personally in that deal, Omar was the highest paid CEO in 2015 I think with around 86M. As to how these thieves were allowed to do this...only the idiots in the board can answer. If you look at the decisions made by the our last 2 CEOs, they have not made a single good acquisition. Not one. To put this in perspective a child with a coin is chooses 50% of the time correctly. Makes one think what we are doing paying these people huge amounts of money. We would have been better off if we just stayed the course, invested in R and D, and did not do the Covidien deal or any others for that matter.
Sometimes the best decision one makes, is the one they do not.
Will Geoff and Karen screw up the earnings call tomorrow? Kinda hope so… they are both useless and need to go. Not that it matters… the board of directors need to go too since they are taking no action. Everyone else seems to know full well that Geoff and Karen are ruining Medtronic.
Do something about it and write a letter.
hey bud, we all have, it’s called employee engagement scores, which are the lowest in Medtronics history. Our board of directors and leadership teams have made conscious decisions to do anything in their power to move forward with anything to make short term profits look good…no matter what it does to employees or the patients that we should be protecting.

Attention all shareholders-please VOTE. Your voice is important.
Worst CEO in the history of Medtronic and also the most arrogant. We need to vote him out! I don’t know how we do it but this is critical to our future.
Does anyone else ever feel like they work for quite possibly the most INEFFICIENT company on the planet? Every aspect of this job, every division, every form of communication all seems to take 10 times longer than it should to get ANYTHING done.
This.
How many tenured and devoted employees have to jump ship before someone realizes Geoff is running this company into the ground?
