Galderma Aesthetics has been a nightmare









If you have not quit yet, ask to be moved to Austin in Texas. Millions of people relocating to the Austin and Sanantonio area but they still have the same quota as other districts that are losing people with bad economies. No disrespect to RPs team but come on - drop any other team there and they would have the same results. Time to update the way quotas are done. this is bananas
 




This is the formula for how they do quotas at Galderma:

Midwest: 2021 sales x .0001 % growth expectation = 2022 quota
West Coast: 2021 sales x 70% growth expectation + 1 tube of KY Jelly = 2022 quota

Sounds fair.
 




Yup. Seems right. Midwest reps are making $60k per quarter. West coast reps are making zero or barely over that per quarter. A rep in the Midwest sells $500k a quarter and makes $60k bonus. A California rep sells $2 million a quarter and makes $2k. Seems fair.
 




Cali RSMs are being bonused extra if they have no turnover in q3.

I was looking at applying for a position in the southern US, but this place seems like a dumpster fire. Is it worth it to come on for a year to get Derm experience? What is the average salary and bonus expectation? Thanks!

Are you applying for a Derm position with the RX division or with Aesthetics? I can give you some real insight into aesthetics. CP is a place to vent so I'm not surprised at all the negativity, but to be fair I will say this: Galderma has gone down hill in the last year. It's demoralizing to have 30% + growth, in a territory that is low on the disposable income totem pole much less, and still be below the quota they decide to give you. It hasn't always been that way though, and they have done some cleanup to make it right to an extent...after they see that 85% of the salesforce isn't near hitting it. You do work hard, and by this I don't mean just visiting your customers and selling. You have lots of busy work that takes much of your time away from this...dealing with account set up issues, 50 different platforms to navigate data, loyalty, CRM, 3rd party companies that make doing your job extremely hard...then helping your customers deal with 50 different platforms to navigate loyalty, payments, ordering, training.

That being said, I came from a company that used and abused you, you worked hard and didn't make real money when you performed, so I'm extremely happy I landed at Galderma, even under the current circumstances. The industry is amazing and I've met some great people here. You can expect to make around $20k at 100% but overachievement is where it can triple. Salary is mid 90's and they have extra incentives every quarter. Hope this helps...

The way they do quotas definitely has to be updated. They SHOULd be looking at population changes, average income, and population overall. Austin/San Antonio are growing very fast but RP also had a few less than desirable territories in west TX both years he won that also did well. I'm sure no one would like to drop their team in those

You get paid $3500 to come in at 85% or $60k to come in at 125%. I get the pay for performance but it loses merit when u get stuck with goals that are absolutely retarded. This company was the darling in aesthetics but now we are turning into Allergan .05.

Let’s just be real here. There’s clearly a forecasting problem and not enough staff to fix it. Anyone going to get a backbone and step up? Or will you be cowering in a corner like everyone else? No one respects or trusts leadership anymore. This is more than just money now. Trust and confidence is gone, and that’s not a good combination.

Genius cost cutting measures disguised as " Mckesson shipping delays". While Galderma saves millions of dollars in shipping, we are getting kicked in the face by our offices and competiiton.
