Why all the negativity here?

An organization is preparing to launch a biologic for a disease which has no cure.

It's an individual's choice whether or not to pursue the opportunity.

Why is it necessary to flood the board with misinformation and negative comments?

Did any of you hear about a severance plan during the interview (incase the drug doesn't get approved)? I won't join unless we get some sort of protection.

Ok...but I know someone who interviewed last week. They want to hire people this month before the approval. My meeting with them is coming up and that is a major concern. Why leave a company for another organization and get laid off in 2-3 months if the approval is denied?

Absolutely agree. And if they are negotiating the label, it may come out with serious restriction like a time limit on use per patient or something along those line. I heard something about a 2year limit per patient. That would be bad news for the sales team with only the board and the CEO making out on that deal vs. those of us resposibiilty for meeting goals quarter after quarter.

if you are pulling a good income from where you are now, what are you running from? there is a very real risk this expansion could fail (read loss of shiny new job). you better be damn sure the risk is totally evaluated versus where you are now. compare each company's benefits to benefits. it would be crazy to do otherwise. seems everybody these days is looking for a quick fix in their career (or running from being exposed as a non-player). 2 years here, 3 years there, 2 years somewhere else........., you get the idea. but what the hell, why not bet the house?
