Everyone's Quitting

Including one-time items, Alexion's loss of 81 cents per share in the reported quarter compared unfavorably with the year-ago quarter earnings of 88 cents. Net product sales missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $668 million.

You are not that bright, are you. Revenues were basically in line. The Zacks numbers are automated (thus the commentary). Revenues came in at 666.6 million and Zacks set it at 668 miiion, which shows you that sales were basically in line. Compare the revenues to the various analyst reports.

The earnings are obviously impacted by the Synageva deal (which will eventually turn accretive). If you notice, EPS came in ABOVE consensus and the guidance was also taken up.

I sure hope you have someone else managing your money for you as you really can't understand how to look at financial data.

Cleveland/Akron territory open awhile. Any reason? Why previous rep leave?

It's unbelievable how many people i talk to who want to quit here. Firing people weekly or putting them on a plan sure builds a great atmosphere, huh? Sales territories open all over the place and people quitting within weeks of joining. Nice job guys. The RSU grant won't save me since nothing is worth four more years of misery.

Right manager + ripe territory = tons of jack (well into the 200's!) You will work and age like a banana... but you will enjoy checking your bank account online.

Wrong manager AND/OR weak territory = U R F'd.

The above are probably true to a certain extent in all Pharma. But it's amplified exponentially with this gig.

Good luck, job seekers.

It's a miserable place to work. no respect for the individual and you get the feeling senior management actually take pleasure in verbally and mentally bullying junior staff. it used to work because people would stay for the RSUs but now the stock awards are nothing like they used to be so you don't even get the reward for putting up with all the c**p.

It's interesting how if you interview there, so few of the HQ people have been around more than 2 years...

Back offices? You clearly aren't in commercial. If you're even at Alexion, it sounds like it's one of the background support teams nobody sees.

The sales and marketing teams at headquarters are completely different every 2 years because barely anyone stays.

+1 to THIS

US HQ is dysfunctional, no other way to put it. The company runs employees into the ground.

Only a few people, like you, were cleaned out due to low performance. Get over it.
